He'll stay a Laker, they'll throw stupid money at him and he'll be a punching bag for a season or two

Nah, he's done in LA. Wouldn't surprise me if he's a heat next season.

Would love to see him retire as a laker and mentor randle but I think he's ready to move on. Thanks for all the memories Pau, wished you became a Laker earlier in your career.

Would love to see MVPau cross the hallway and take a huge wet shit all over Lakerfan next year, but he'd have to take a pretty substantial paycut, tbh....

So Fredo's plan to save the franchise is to buy second-round picks and have Chazz do the scouting? :lol

"The NBA champion San Antonio Spurs have inquired with Gasol's agent Arn Tellem, expressing an interest, sources said, but the Spurs can't become a legitimate suitor unless Gasol significantly drops his asking price."

MVPau on the spurs = instant championship. The rest of the league can just fold up and skip 2015 playoffs.

Woj is technically correct, but if SA really wanted Pau and 10-12M is his asking price, Spurs can quite easily get to that number in cap space.

Got throw in a 1st rounder cuz MVPau is way past his prime.

Wait, lakers don't have any first rounders to trade.

I think it's a pipe dream. This is probably his last chance at a fat contract. Would love to have him on a reserve role though, I think if motivated, he's still has some game left.

Completely agree. . .if we also retain Diaw and Mills.

We will see a tank fest if we get Pau.

The only few things that can derail the Spurs next year:

1) Injuries to either Leonard or Duncan. MVPau can help with the lost of Duncan if such a thing happened.
2) OKC. MVPau's passing, outside shooting, and low post game can help draw Ibaka away from blocking shots, severely limiting his effectiveness.

In conclusion, with MVPau, the only thing stopping the Spurs from ringing would be the lost of Leonard.

I don't think we could handle losing Duncan, Parker, or Leonard tbh. . .but anyone else we could. Really hope Pau chooses to come to SA
