WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Two years into President Barack Obama's second term, more voters say they are dissatisfied with his administration's handling of everything from the economy to foreign policy, giving him the worst marks of any modern U.S. president, a poll on Wednesday said.
In a survey of 1,446 registered voters, 33 percent said Obama was the worst president since World War Two, while 28 percent pointed to his predecessor, George W. Bush, as the worst, the poll by Quinnipiac University found.
Voters were split over which of the two most recent presidents has done a better job with 39 percent saying Obama has been a better president than Bush and, 40 percent saying Obama is worse.
Most voters said Ronald Reagan, who served two terms in the 1980s, was the best president since 1945, the survey showed.
"Over the span of 69 years of American history and 12 presidencies, President Barack Obama finds himself with President George W. Bush at the bottom of the popularity barrel," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of Quinnipiac University's polling unit.
While Obama's job approval rating has inched higher to 40 percent, up from 38 percent in December, more voters gave him largely negative marks in key areas: the economy, foreign policy, healthcare and terrorism, according to the poll.
On the environment, 50 percent gave Obama positive marks.
The telephone survey, taken June 24 to June 30, had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.

Reagan the best? Shows how shallow, ignorant, the fatass TeeVee-watching Americans are, EXACTLY how the ruling class wants them.
The economy isn't Obama's fault. That's on the Banksters, and the Repugs blocking ALL govt stimulus and job creation.

So who do you think is the worst president since WWII, CC?
Probably a tie between Truman, Kennedy/Johnson, GW Bush, and Obama. I can make a case for any one of them being the worst.

Quinnipiac surveyed (http://www.quinnipiac.edu/images/polling/us/us07022014_demos_U73jabn.pdf)1,446 voters from June 24-30; 26 percent identify as Republicans, 31 percent as Democrats, and 35 percent are Independents. Of those voters (http://www.quinnipiac.edu/images/polling/us/us07022014_crosstabs_U73jabn.pdf), 73 percent are white, 13 percent black, 7 percent Hispanic, and 8 percent identify as “other.” Only 18 percent are from the Northeast, 24 percent hail from the Midwest, 37 percent from the South, and 22 percent from the West.
So the largest representation of voters surveyed in this poll are from the South, which isn’t exactly representative of all Americans as a whole. In the 2012 election, the South was the only (http://www.gallup.com/poll/154559/us-presidential-election-center.aspx)region where more voters voted for Romney than Obama (54 to 41 percent). Gallup shows (http://www.gallup.com/poll/158399/2012-electorate-looks-like-2008.aspx)that only 33 percent of voters in 2012 were from the South, while 23 percent were from the Northeast and Midwest, and 22 percent lived in the West. Consequently, this poll is slightly skewed towards Southern voters.

ACA alone is a huge accomplishment, PROGRESS, with not a single Repugnant voting for it.
Everything the Dems wanted has been blocked by the Repugs.

IMO, the days of Americans electing good presidents is over thanks to cable news talking points and the monopoly of the two major parties....

Kennedy / Johnson certainly managed to get people more pissed off than there are really pissed off people today.
Truman being a pussy with McArthur and letting him go to the Yalu should go down as one of the biggest Presidential blunders of all time. You don't fuck with the Chinese in a ground war. Tens of thousands more Americans were killed, wounded, or captured than we have lost in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Good point but we were inevitably headed into a global economy by that time.Sure, but overthrowing governments to make things easier for US companies was pretty damn stupid.
I mean, we have the distinction of ending the only real democratically elected government in the history of Iran.
We forgot that fact, but they sure as hell haven't.

That explains the poll. Obama was reelected less than 2 years ago in a landslide. There have been no major disasters since then, and in fact his signature legislation has proven to be rather successful. I doubt national opinion has swung that wildly for nothing. People in the South have an irrational hatred for Obama. The comments I see regular people leaving on my local news' Facebook page on any story related to Obama make the trolls here look tame by comparison.

Obama sucks ass because he preached 24/7 in 2008 on how he was the anti-Bush and how he was going to be different. There has been no hope and change. It's been nope and the same.

He was the anti-dubya and dickhead choice, as were many 10Ms of Americans who WANTED desperately an anti-Repug govt to break from the disaster (ongoing) of 2001-2008. I'm sure those Americans and finally Obama realized that the Repugs did/do everything possible to deny the Dems the right to govern (ongoing denial). Compromise for motherfucking Repugs is to show weakness, not MANLY, because the Dems are not legitimate opponents.
NOTHING of import has gotten passed other than ACA, and Repugs still trash it with lies and slander, know their ignorant base will suck it down.
