View Full Version : Rockets: to go after Bosh

The Houston Rockets plan on shifting their attention toward Chris Bosh if they fail to secure a deal with Carmelo Anthony.

The Rockets have already let Bosh know how interested they are in bringing the Texas native to Houston.

Bosh would fit in perfectly with the Rockets due to his ability to stretch the floor from the forward position and guard most bigs.

The Rockets would have targeted both Bosh and Dirk Nowitzki from the start of free agency had they believed there was a realistic chance of landing either player.

thought this is actually a better fit than melo and could actually see this go down. bosh could also play the 5 spot in times where dwight is in foul trouble, soft, sure, but he can fill the hole occasionally.

Rockets need better defensive players...not 7 foot faggots that hide in the corner and like to shoot 3s

the presence of DH would pretty much cover up Bosh's defensive weakness imho, actually the two nigs would complement each other very well. A stretch 4 is always the best type of companion next to DH and Bosh would serve that purpose better than anyone would, imho.

He can snag a rebound here & there as well.

They were going after Melo, obviously defense isn't what they looking for. It would be a blessing in disguise if they land Bosh instead. Bosh is quite underrated and was never utilized properly by Spo in Miami. Obviously the Rockets still have McHale, but if they're going after big names like Morey said, this is their guy.

I can see Bosh doing this. Instead of taking bitch money in Miami to play with a bunch of has-beens and choke artists, Team Leader Bosh could take his talents to Houston and be the stretch 4. He already said himself his vagina is way too sore to be in the paint, which would be Dwert's job.

They figure alternating with your "bunch of has-beens and choke artists" it will be their turn again next Finals.

There will be not alternating. They got a complete beat down this year -- making last year look even more like fluke. They can't beat the Spurs.

Bosh/Harden would make a pretty good pick and roll combo too. Offensively he's a good fit. Might give them enough scoring punch to focus on upgrading their perimeter D if Parsons walks and/or they move Lin.

From*Ken Berger of CBSSports.com:

Bosh possibly going to the Rockets (or to the Lakers or Mavs) proves why the notion of Bosh taking a $10 million pay cut to stay in Miami was never realistic. With the Bulls, Rockets, Mavs, Lakers, Cavs, Suns and potentially others chasing James, Anthony or both, there are more teams than there are LeBrons and Melos (only one of each). Once James and Anthony have made a decision, the teams that lost out will be lining up to create a market for Bosh.

Thus, with James waiting for Heat president Pat Riley to revamp the roster and with*Dwyane Wade*leaving $42 million on the table at age 32, Bosh is the member of the Big Three most likely to break away. Multiple league sources say there will be a close-to-max market for Bosh if Anthony and James stay with their respective teams. One of those people, an executive with a rival team, said the growing belief around the league is that Bosh would prefer a four-year max deal with another team to a discounted longer deal with Miami.

Hmm, let's see. Bosh can go 4/$97 to another team or, what... 5/$65 with the Heat?

Spurs broke the Miami Heat franchise, Bosh ain't leaving $30-$40m on the table.

Really have high doubts the Rockets are able to land any star power forward. Morey has burned a lot of bridges and the rest of the league has been watching.

BS. The "league" doesn't give a shit. It's all about the money 1st, 2nd...a distant 3rd is the ability to win a rin.......3rd is money as well.

Bosh should go to Houston, he'll get more money and be on a better team. and really, after leBron talked them into opting out and then demanded the max for himself anyways? Bosh gotta walk

Watching first take now and a good point was brought up. Rockets are supposedly the only team willing to offer bosh max/the most. Him going there would make Melo more able to come to Miami and therefor keeping Lebron. Bosh would also fit in very well with Houston but it doesnt matter when they have Mchale. 2nd round fodder

I would love for this to happen. He would fit perfectly into this team. It would also put Terrance Jones on the bench where he belongs and allow us to ship Dmo to anyone willing to take him.

Why do you guys want Melo? I do agree with the last part though, lockets are 2nd round exit at best with their coach.
