The Lakers had been trying to trade for the last three years. Considering the circumstances, I think he has handled it quite well and is not acting like a typical American "superstar."

Why wouldn't you post this in the Gasol discussion thread? You honestly felt this was worthy of a new thread?

Come on mods, can you stop this guy from posting new threads all the time. It's getting fucking ridiculous.
Keep all your thoughts in one thread. We don't need a new thread from you every hour when you have a new thought. Absolutely ridiculous.

I think you're confusing Pau with another Laker named Kobe Bryant.

Whataburger thinks he is 12 years old, I wouldn't be surprised if he is younger than that.

Exactly. I think Pau is a great team player and if he ever ends up in SA, I think he would again play a very high level of basketball, after the bad situation Kobe and Lakers brought him into these past few years. With the skills that he has, IMO he would flourish in the Spurs system. If he is able to accept a backup role just like Manu, how good is it seeing him with the 2nd unit backing up Tim.

Kobe will never be the same so Pau is done, was done last season and will be done next season.

spurs won't be as lucky on the injury front next year. it could easily be Tiago or TD instead of Ibaka in 2015

You are aware that there are already a number of threads on this subject, yes? Attention whore.
If you sign Pau you keep him from OKC and a number of other teams he would greatly upgrade, and he's a perfect fit for our system. If you can get him for the MLE you do it every fucking day.

Well I don't think the OP is completely wrong. Spaniards are known for being bitches, just see Fernando Alonso and all the MotoGP kids, the football (soccer) players and some tennis players. Gasol probably isn't a fucking locker room cāncer as a american black "star" (even the black D leaguers think they are stars), but his complaints about playing time should be annoying.

If Pau comes, he has to know that he will be a player in our system and, at his age, is not even close to being a franchise player. He should be thrilled to accept a minimal role, because it will make his career longer and make him look far better in spurts as opposed to being a starter who is relied on for many minutes of a game. His body will appreciate the limited playing minutes and his high basketball IQ will be able to shine under our system. No way we shouldn't go after him tbh... He'll be a great player on our team.

yeah this is my general take. i don't think Pau is coming here, but i'm not worried at all about his character if he does. he and the spurs wouldn't come to terms if this wasn't discussed and agreed upon in advance. if he signs, then he has bought into the role
