Wtf is Slam magazine? Judging by the cover it's a lame attempt to appeal to the demo missed by SI.

 Drake reference "Trophies"

 'Chi' 'hoops'

It's like some linguistics major from the midwest wrote this after reading his material on ebonics

SLAM is pretty heavily influenced by hip hop and has been for years, it's not marketed to tea party rednecks like you

It clearly panders to black audiences like Sprite, McDonalds and KFC.

Cool to see Kawhi on the cover but SLAM magazine's design is stuck in 1998. They seriously need to hire some professional designers because the whole magazine looks terrible and dated. Getting rid of the lame 90s nameplate would be a good start.

Slam Magazine is no joke

What is "no joke" supposed to mean? Is that even a counter argument? How can you disprove that they are pandering to get black readers when the evidence is right on the cover?

Not disproving anything, you just sounded a bit racist. Phoenix born and raised?

SLAM is a major sports publication. I read it every time I got to HEB tbh, haha.

It panders to cool kids like me. I'm not black, but I like basketball and basketball hip-hop culture. I'm urban, hip and cool.
