View Full Version : Heat: Miami Heat trolling the rest of the NBA

What if lebron and co are just trolling everyone?
Making every team make space for them, and waste their time planning for them.
Making them prepare to move pieces for them.
Making them fight among themselves.
Making the players in other teams feel dispensable and that their GM will trade all their asses for Lebron.
Then at the end of it all, sign back with miami heat as the same, and leave all the other teams in a mess with no idea what to do with no time left.

Kinda like how the first round trolled everyone into thinking there was going to be a bunch of upsets

Yeah OP, I won't believe any of their BS until they sign. They all did the same thing during the offseason before they got together too, including Wade and Bosh telling Chicago they'd both sign for less than the max so they'd cool off their pursuit of LeBron.

Last time they just led everyone on to fuck up the free agent process. I doubt many teams are too choked up about getting them this time tbh.

Exactly. The final joke will be on them since they haven't improved their team at all. Spurs will stomp all over them for a second time if they meet again with their current setups.

Does "trolling" entail another Finals loss? Because that's what's going to happen (at best). :lol

Yeah agree, probably, just like how the Lunar bitch has been trolling me around recently tbh :lol

But imho, you're fooling yourself if you think those GMs could get outwitted by a nigga who didn't even finish highschool. Teams all make space for him and hope for the best, if they somehow sign Lebron or some other big name they'd shit their pants celebrating the signing, of course, but it's not like they're losing anything even if they don't sign any bigname FA. At least they're showing their "ambition" to contend which will help keep the fans on board. I've been responding positively to that Lunar bitch's flirting but it doesn't mean I had a liking for her, not at all... I'm a goddamn celibate and that's my religion. Yes shit distracts me a lot but at least motherfuckers ain't suspecting my sexuality anymore, tbh, there ain't no loss that comes without any sort of gain.

Heat biggest challenges are San Antonio and OKC. There is no way Riley and Lebron weighting his options put a mess on those teams.

Since McRoberts and Granger respectively agreed to MLE and LLE sized deals, the Heat don't even seem to plan on using cap space. Since the Heat have full Bird rights to James, Wade, and Bosh, they should be able to give LeBron the max, Bosh his $16M per season, and Wade a significant portion of the $20M he opted out of. I don't know how that stacks up against the tax though.

This makes no sense. Trolling the NBA for what? To sign McRoberts and Granger when the Heat got their asses kicked for much of 5 games?

Any team using the MLE then operates under a hard cap of 4M above the tax line, approximately 81M.

Thanks for the heads up. Arison cut Mike Miller rather than pay the tax so the Heat might be operating under a de facto 77M cap anyway.

I'm posting from my phone so it's hard to look up salaries and see how much the Heat can pay their big 3 while still leaving a little room for minimum contracts to fill the roster.

There's only one champion and that champion didn't do shit for them.

How do they get every organiztion thrown off by them staying in Miami? Does the season start tomorrow? Its not like they're giving up every other possible options for James or whatever.

:lol At them staying together and getting expose again when june next comes around next year by the big dogs in the west. :lol

Lebron is the lamest excuse for an all time great. I don't remember the players of the past behaving this way and whining so much about his team. He had Wade, Bosh, Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis and Mario Chalmers, who Lebron should have helped to get into his game. Instead James just made a lot of "pained" faces and quit in the 4th quarter, literally and figuratively. Not to mention he had more turnovers than assists and got beat repeatedly by an unknown 22 year old. And he's supposed to be better than Jordan.

Dad Killer whined constantly about his team, the only difference is that it was before the 24/7 media cycle and social media so it just wasn't reported on.... Sam Smith gave plenty of examples of his whining in his book, "The Jordan Rules," though :lol

Jordan always won so he didn't have to whine. He also knew how to be a part of a great team and when to pass the ball.

Actual quotes from DK:

"They've got no idea what it's all about. The white guys, they work hard, but they don't have the talent. And the rest of them? Who knows what to expect? They're not good for much of anything."

"He can't do anything with the ball. Don't give it to him." - Michael yelling at Paxson who passed the ball to Perdue

"You ever hear of a guy, six-eleven maybe and two hundred sixty pounds, a guy big and fat like that and he can't get but two rebounds, if that many, running all over the damn court and he gets two rebounds? Big guy like that and he gets one rebound. Can't even stick his **** into people and get more than that...Big, fat, fat guy. One rebound in three games. Power forward. Maybe they should call it powerless forward." - Michael ripping Stacey King a new one

"He was scared in there and panicking. He just lost it when Stockton scored." - Michael on B.J. Armstrong's mental fragility

"It's a hell of a lot easier to make Earl Monroe look good than it is Brad Sellers."

"I hope there's a jumpshot in there." - Michael to Stacey King who was walking into the locker room with a box

"Give me the ******* ball." - Michael to Doug Collins who drew up a play for Dave Corzine

"You're an idiot. You've screwed up every play we ever ran. You're too stupid to even remember the plays. We ought to get rid of you." - Michael to Horace Grant

"If you [pass the ball to Bill Cartwright], you'll never get the ball from me."

"Your boy doesn't want to play. I'm tired of bailing his ass out." - Michael yelling at Jim Cleamons about Dennis Hopson

"He's causing me too many turnovers." - Michael on Cartwright's inability to catch

Funniest quote of all: "If I were a general manager, we'd be a better team." :lmao

No impact player is signing up until they do. In the mean time the more teams that clear space are in position to overpay whatever talent is left floating around, otherwise known as the guys that Miami is hoping to talk into a pay cut. We are going to see a Charlie V level bad contract this summer.
