I want to be the first Bryce Cotton Super-Fan at ST so I've decided to start his Church thread as we WILL need a Church thread for him.

Speed. A sick jumper. Great vision.

Let us praise at the Cotton Patch!

Cons: Averaged 39.9 minutes out of 40 a game for providence, dominated the ball, shoot-first PG, 6"0 feet with shoes on, undrafted for a reason, and a bad defender.

Pros: Fierce competitor, lightning quick, decent shooter, good kid, lots of value, will drive competition

I'm excited to see him during summer league. July 11th, 9 PM, NBAtv. Let's go!

Just heard in the SL game that his final game of the season against UNC was here at the AT&T center, he wound up tearing it up dropping 36pts, RC Buford was in attendance saw what he liked, and here he is.

I can see the comparison. I think Cotton is much tougher though

If AI were two inches shorter and had one-third the talent. Gotta kind of squint your eyes to see it.

And possibly the next T.P.More like the next P.M.

He was playing off the ball while Darius Morris was playing Manu with the ball. I do think they and Anderson did the most of what was expect of them by the staff for what that's worth.

That's how they had him in game one, but he's more of a true point guard than Mills is, IMO. Not like Parker is a pass-first point most of the time anyway.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more what you said makes sense. They really might be seeing if he can fill in for Patty while he's out. I'd still like to see both him and Kyle get more chances to run the offense, but it's not like Pop's going to have a rookie doing that anyway.

I'm just saying with the similarities with how he scores in transition and how he can contort his body to finish.

There was that one play when he had a bigger defender on him, and he jumped into the defender and then stretched out and finished with with an englished layup.

And there was also that spin he did in the middle of the lane to shake a defender, coming off the spin he stepped up, to freeze a defender and then went right into his jump shot...

He seems like he can drive and shoot, plus has playmaking ability.

And where he reminds me of AI was like the 2nd or 3rd play, where he had a hesitation dribble and first step blew right by someone and then cut almost completely horizontally across the lane. Also the way he delivers the ball.

I liked what Cotton brought yesterday. I'm definitely rooting for him to make this squad. If he keeps playing well he'll definitely have a legitimate chance.
