I've been saying this since Bud left, no way Pop was leaving with Duncs after he's basically perfected basketball.

Well, it was always pussy & assholish to correspond his retirement with Duncan's.

Excellent. Glad to know he's not jumping ship with Tim. He's joked many times, but doesn't seem like a Pop move at all.

IF Pop won a title after Duncan he would be without question GOAT

It was him though for many years. 6 & 5 have loosened his booty hole & granted him a fresh wisdom.

Bully, bully for Pop

He'll find some other excuse to lodge, like how he went from "win the last game you play" to "the Bag stays in Texas" :lol

No. Why would I? I'm absolutely correct.

in a scenario where duncan retires, pop stays, and the spurs hit the shitter, it sort of shatters your illusion that the system has carried duncan, and rather implies the opposite

That's because you guys either misinterpreted "win the" or, you're being assholes.

And the entire Spisak Manifesto that I created is:::

1. make the playoffs
2. win the last game you play.

There is nothing else.

What's that got anything to do with my "the Bag stays in Texas"?

Sigh. Anyways. Congrats Pop. I hope you continue to stick it to the NBA and their dream finals. No fucking fairy tales.

He'd have to play until 45 to get his stats up to par with the other great big men way ahead of him.

You went from strictly winning the last game you play to coming up with qualifiers and excuses once Duncan won the last game he played. It's chickenshit.

what if duncan continued to play in those 4-5 years and then when he retires pop just ends up retiring along with him anyway?
would be some hell of a troll job

Glad to hear it. Pop seemed revitalized through out the postseason. There was a hint of enthusiasm whenever he had cause to talk about Leonard in particular, reminded me of how he'd talk about guys like Tim and Bruce; guys he could look forward to coaching.
