Gregg Popovich has agreed to a contract extension, Spurs say in release. I had been told he was eager to coach another 4-5 years.

Pop has been our biggest impediment to more championships tbh

Oh well, hope we can get another one or two during his tenure despite the guy!

I was so angry when Gregg Coach Popovich neglected to win the final two regular season games thereby bypassing a golden opportunity in securing a World's San Antonio record of 64 regular season wins.

I suppose now with his reupping I will gain an opportunity for Coach Gregg to redeem himself in giving me the regular season glory I have so desperately desired during his tenure.

Spurs might do what no team ever does- not have to rebuild when they lose their cornerstone. If they can still be competitive when Duncan retires that will be incredible. Of course they will need Leonard to he the real deal. I like Parker and mills at Pg.

Good news and not too surprised . He did say this was one of his most enjoyable seasons as a coach.

I think is is because he has so many wine drinkers on the team.

Pretty sure he'll call it quits when the last of the big three (Tony Parker) hangs 'em up.

Who has POP groomed to be his coaching replacement? Nobody....that's why POP is staying...

Looks like everyone relevant is back for a title defense.

Sorry, NBA. You'll have to deal with the Spurs for a few more years.

You think the Spurs have enough to repeat with a slower Manu or Duncan and the NBA gunning for them?

Pop is more likely to go Euro than Bonner..
