Whilst reading Adrian Woj and JJ Adande's column just moments ago, I was left feeling conflicted. According to Adrian, Lebron has actively persued and contacted prospective Free Agents and enquired if they would join him in Cleveland if he were to return. And whilst I understand their reticence in going to Cleveland and his need to have some assurances....
I was actually saddened more than angered. What utter misplacement of loyalty from one Lebron James. To think that he would actively gauge which is essentialy 'soft' recruitment, players interest in joining him in Cleveland, he has not done the same for Miami. And I realise that Miami does not need recruitment, certainly not the city.
Yet perhaps someone should remind Lebron that it was Wade and Bosh that kept the series competitive with Dallas!
It was Wade and Bosh that allowed him to handidly beat the Thunder. The Cavs as currently constructed would be easily swept by the Thunder even with Lebron.
It was Allen who made that three pointer in game six to save the season (if you recall Lebron missed his 3point attempt which led to the Bosh rebound) and Ray certainly would not have joined Cleveland when he entertained leaving Boston.
Sadly, Lebron has allowed his handlers, these sycophants with personal interest to shape his career and future.
And it took Dan Gilbert 4 years to take down that shameful letter. Four years and only when he realised he had a chance at Lebron was it removed......just a day ago.
Lebron you are showing loyalty to the wrong end. That end wasted seven years of your career.
For the record I have nothing against Cleveland the city or their fans. This is just someone that seems half baked in his judgement
