They used what they could salvage, including making toys from the G.I.'s beer cans and exporting them to the U.S. for hard currency. Do you know the real reason for the Marshall plan. Read some of your favorite literature, I am sure you can find some crying in the beer from you favorite political party, The Communist, how it defeated their efforts in Germany.
