Nothing about him screams superstar. ESPN talking heads talk up his athleticism but he isn't even the best athlete in this draft. It's not like he was putting up 25 and 5 in College either. He scored FOUR total points in his lone NCAA tournament game. I just don't understand.

Sets up James as the mentor. Cowherd has been pushing it the last two days.

He just might go down as the a bigger bust than Kwame Brown.

Lebron takes stars and turns them into nobody's.

He showed he actually cares about defending more than shooting, he is fine in being a role player and has a mean step back jumper on top of perfect size and athleticism, that does scream superstar to me.

Name a superstar in the past or present that fit that description before coming into the league?

Sure defense will probably keep him around, but superstar? Nah.

Lebron James? Tim Duncan(minus the jumper)? So you're saying he could be the 2 guard version of lebron?

Tim Duncan already had a post game and stayed in college all four years.

Quickness and explosion is impressive. Lebron should be a good influence ... but I see Paul George "lite" so far ...I hope he realizes his potential. But he is faaaaar from Lebron/Durant a true superstar and I am not sure he will ever get there.

Lebron was puttin up 31/10/5 in his senior year of HS. Tim's numbers were also very impressive: 21/15/3 and shooting 61%.

don't see how is that related. I never said he will be a superstar anyway, but the material is there (except for the brain)imo.

he's not a two, i have no idea why nba.com listed him as such.. Now he may play it since the 3 is for lebron, but he is a 3.

He's athletic and plays defense =\= Lebron and Tim Duncan material*

Weakens his case. 6'6 going up against guys like Paul George, Rudy Gay, Kawhi, and KD.

never said anything about being on par with those two, just that some characteristics are common.

Scottie Pippen and Tracy McGrady come to mind. Andrew is going to get to learn from the best, so that should do nothing but expedite his development. He has all the physical tools to become an elite wing player.

TMac was an incredible defensive player his early years when he was in Toronto.

What the fuck? This is the guy stopping them from getting Kevin Love. They should have put his ass on a rocket and sent him to MN the minute they said that had to be part of the deal.

No he wasn't

He has good defensive stats thanks to his monkeyballer genes, but his defensive fundamentals were not that good

If the MN rumors are true, Cavs need to put down the crack pipe.

He is and will be cheaper than Kevin Love for many a year. That's the main reason that "GM Poll" of only 12 GMs resulted in 7 of 12 or whatever it was saying they'd keep Wiggins instead of trade him for Kevin Love. It's because he's far cheaper, not because he's better.

Him being young helps too. . .that is, IF he stays. His youth doesn't help LeBron win now either. Assuming LeBron re-signs after 2, it's much more advantageous to get Love now if their goal is to win a championship, and not just to have a competitive team after LeBron leaves/retires.

If you trust LeBron to stay, trade for Love. If you don't, roll the dice with Wiggins and hope you can make some kinda move next year while hoping Wiggins doesn't turn out to be a bust like so many 19 year olds are.
