Suns made a great pick with this one.

Great touch around the basket, nice floater, solid midrange, unbelievable nose for the ball, a knack for getting the ball in the basket at an efficient rate. Once he adds a 3-point shot, he'll be unstoppable.

TJ might end up being better than Jabari Parker. Come at me, ST.

It happens. Kawhi Leonard is better that the #2 pick in his draft.

Hard to say it's a steal when this is considered one of the deepest drafts ever. We might look back at this like the 84 or 96 drafts, loaded to the gills with talent.

That said, they could have done a lot worse, for sho. West just keeps getting tougher. We might legitimately see a situation where the 8 seed in the West is as good/better as the #1 seed out East.

Summer League......Eh. As far as I'm concerned, no one is a steal until they endure the regular season. This is a time basis thing. The only person I'm absolutely sold on is Jabari Parker.

But that doesn't matter. You have to make a name for yourself by showing your talent in the regular season under the pressure of the regular season and against serious competition.

It's Summer League, and he's getting spoonfed easy baskets in transition against scrubs, tbh... he doesn't have a jumper, and he looks especially clueless when teams ICE the PNR, which he's going to see more of in real games....

Too early to start hyping him up, imho....

Hes pretty skilled but he doesnt look athletic enough (atleast in that video) to be more than a good role player tbh.

Obviously this is a prediction of the future and not an analysis of his summer league play.

I created this topic so that in three years' time, I can bump it and prove what a genius I am.

Where you watching these summer league games? I know with Spurs prospects, summer league performance seems to have always translated well to the show. The two dominant summer league seasons I can remember were Tony Parker in 2001 and he became the starting point 4 games in, and Stephen Jackson in 2002, and he became the starting shooting guard 8-10 games in and was the team's top big game shooter in a title run.

I wanted him and Rodney Hood or Gary Harris.

Ennis is interesting, but Warren/Hood would have been perfect.

Hood is likely the steal of the draft. He has top-10 talent and went 20s.

Who?

ACC Player of the Year, 20 years old... 6-8, 225 comboforward.

He's incredible in the paint. Has a dizzying array of moves, spins, up fakes, floaters, fadeaways out to 12-15 feet, solid jumper out to 18. Solid dribble, downhill scorer.

To a point. Williams had a much better pull up/spot up game from 15 feet on out. Was an incredible shooter from range as a sophomore. Never had the handle Warren has. Williams was pic/roll, low-post. Warren is a legitimate slasher.

Warren wants it more. Love Williams, but Warren fights for the baskets he covets. Even in college Williams relied on spotting up too much for a lower top-tier athlete who could bully his way to high-percentage shots almost whenever.

Loved Warren in college. Great pick by the Suns.

TJ really plays more like a 23-year-old with a 4-year college career under his belt. His offense is so polished (minus the long-range shot).

If you had to make a comparison to a past or current NBA player, who would you liken Warren to?

More aggressive Antawn Jamison. Maybe slightly more athletic. At least more downhill coordinated and laterally quick to play defense as a SF.

TJ Warren looks great than what we expected.
You may say it's too early to say he's a steal of the draft.
But I hope he could be shocking the rivals when the season begins.
