When did that become black? Your slave ancestors would be spinning in their graves at this modern broad definition

Never have understood why so many characterize the darkest skin colored race as being "black".
Black is "the absence of light", pure and simple.
They should have said "dark skinned" instead of black.
I guess that is where the derogatory term "darkies" comes from.
If I were of that race, I would consider being called "black" by my own, or any other skin toned race, as being extremely derogatory, fighting words.
But to each his or her own.

Not many people aren't intelligent as you my friend. I've come to the awful realization that brown skinned tones will always be labeled as "Black". I prefer African American but not all Brown skin people are African American. American brown skinned people have always been beautiful. There's just so much condescending views outside of that culture and internally. However, within every culture...there's variations of this.

The older I get, the more I realize that nothing in this life can be termed as "black or white" and that what we mostly have are varying shades of gray.
Color is a very poor and shallow way to differentiate between and label the various races IMHO.
Because you have the very pale almost white, to yellow, to red, to brown, to dark, to the very very dark..
And as each generation interbreeds even more, especially in the USA, the Melting Pot, then this becomes even less distinct, but the more it becomes a source of contention.
The hope is that our great great great grandchildren will no longer have these issues to deal with.

Don't worry. You'll always be referred to as "faggot" before anything else.

Why?

Because I have a right to. There's nothing wrong with black women but societies view of black women. If you don't watch tv and actually meet educated non cliche black women that fit stereotypes, you'll find diamonds in the rough.
