Hey, what the hell. No bonus material included, but I went ahead and purchased it. Besides Doug Loves Movies stuff, I don't buy shit from Itunes. I guess I'll just download the bonus material when someone inevitably posts it somewhere. Thanks for the heads up OP. :tu

It was entertaining for sure, but as said above - the prior dvds/blurays have been better, a bit more detail oriented. A lot of it could be that since the end of Game 5, we've pretty much all been watching youtube championship videos fairly (OK very) regularly, so we may be a little numb. Def still :cry there at the end tho.

I'm excited to see what bonus materials are on the actual blu ray.

All the Finals mini-movies have been put together on one YouTube video and I almost fell asleep watching it. Definitely not on the same level as "The Beautiful Game" (Parts 1 & 2) or "Reborn from the Ashes" or some others. Disappointing.

It's not as good as the older ones. They spent a lot less time talking about the first 3 rounds (pretty sure they spent less than a minute on the Portland series), and focused mainly on the Finals. I enjoyed it, but like others have said, the majority of the footage came from the mini-movies that NBA put up on YouTube. I had literally just watched all 5 mini-movies from the Finals a few days before, so it was kinda bad timing for me lol. Felt like I was having deja-vu or some shit.

It's only $12 though. I bought it mainly for the memorabilia aspect so I can have it in my collection with the other 4 championship DVDs. I'm content with the purchase.

The NBA used to go all-out on these things in the 90s. The 99 DVD is far and away the best Spurs championship video. The best one I have seen period was the 2000 Lakers championship DVD where they talked a lot about Phil Jackson coming in and making the team do simple fundamentals like Gene Hackman in Hoosiers. The 2001 DVD the next year was pretty lousy by comparison, and none of the DVDs have been very good since. The 1983 championship video for the Sixers is really good also, since they talk about the other series and have a nice piece on the Spurs team that came so close to forcing a Game 7 of the WCF against LA.

Man after the 2003 one the Spurs had when they showed the whole 4th quarters of the closeout games it got bad, the 2005 one was not near that! They started to fall off badly after 03 IMO and I didn't even buy with 07 after the 2005 one. I agree with you fully though, the ones from the 80's and 90's were incredible! I wish the Spurs had more then :)

Why the smart ass response? Oh, well, that's still better than a bonus feature on that red headed shit talking about sandwiches and how he's been able to con his way into the team for all these years and won't go away. Actually, now that I think about it, that could be a fascinating psychological case study, tbh.

:lol chill, just joking around.

I tried to look for more info on what extra might be included, but nothing. At least on Amazon it says the BluRay is 75 mins... that's about 17 mins longer than the itunes version. It's not a lot of extra time, tbh, so I wouldn't expect a whole lot.

Haha, I know I was just joking back. We good, man, we good. Yeah if amazon is right, and they do tend to put up erroneous info on their prerelease videos, that would make up around 17 minutes of bonus features, tops. That's not good. I might have to hold back on this until black Friday, tbh.

Yes, I just bought the Blu Ray/DVD combo at Best Buy. The bonus footage is extremely short. Hell, even the main part barely lasted through the lunch my wife and I were having while watching it. Really, IMO, one of the absolute worst releases for a Spurs championship video in terms of extras. Just felt thrown together. I guess they know we'll buy it no matter what's in it, huh.

Like the others have said its worth it as a memorabilia piece, but for a Blu Ray with so much room for extras, this is just bad. I think the extras totaled maybe 20 min. I support the Spurs/NBA however I can, but they truly just tossed some ho hum five min long "extras" that just don't live up to expectations.

Yeah this Blu ray was very dissapointing. They rush thru the regular season and first 3 rounds within the first 15-20 mins. The Blazers series is seriously like a 1 min recap. The Thunder series is also rushed thru too fast. The "extras" consist of an Ahmad Rashad interview with Tony that was previously shown on NBA TV, a Steve Smith interview with Tim that was also previously shown on NBA TV, a "Spurs way" 4-5 minute feature narrated by Michael Wilbon that was previously shown on ESPN, and a trailer for this Blu ray. Thats it. No new footage, no actual game footage from any series. Very, very, very, WEAK championship DVD/Blu ray.

Shout Factory and Synapse does. These 2 companies are killing the horror genre right now. Shout factory is the best. September 23rd they have a 15 disc Halloween box set being released with a lot of new interviews, behind the scenes, and some new commentaries. The nba makes billions per year, for this dvd to take a whole month to make, there is no excuse for not having the entire OT of game 6 in the WCF, a 5 minutes behind the scenes look at each player(even cory joseph and sorry ass Ayres), a 2 hour feature along with the full post game press conferences. NO EXCUSE on the nba's part. I guarantee that if all of that was included and the price was $40, they'd still have the same amount of sales. Let's not forget, Rob Zombie's remake of Halloween had about 4 hours of bonus features.

Getting off the subject a bit, I wish the nba would release every all star weekend and game in a blu ray box set(Dating back to 84) Now i know the older games aren't HD, but they can clean it up. I just feel the nba is cutting corners and cheating the consumers with their rushed products. I know the nba has more money than WWE and they put out great dvd sets. The ultimate warrior's dvd was excellent.
