Just bought it.
Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman were really good in this movie.

Makes one ponder about God.
And about how you would feel about immortality, on how you would feel about it if you were given a choice for your body to be immortal and you could live forever.
Would you really want that?
It tends to make one think about "feelings" and "emotions" and how we would be if we were emotionless and had no feelings like a machine.
Sentience encompasses so much more than just being "aware", it also means being able to love someone even though that someone can still be a very bad person.

This movie got absolutely horrible reviews and was a box office flop. I'm surprised there's a fan base for such a shitty movie.

Give "Afterlife" by Doug Dandridge a read.
It's pretty light reading but delves into the rights of external sentience.
