.....Marshawn Lynch? No team in the league has as many big power backs as the Seahawks possess. A whole gang of 220 pounders, actually Lynch is the smallest back on the roster. Yes we all know he's a beast and a great runner but averages in that 4.4ish world. So they put a 4.0 back in there. What's the big deal? John Riggins is in the HOF, he has a career average of 3.9.
I'm a big believer in running the ball, pounding the rock, wearing down defenses with big backs. Then in the middle of the third Q things start to get a lot easier, the rushers are tired, the backers are worn out. Then ya start passing the ball around. The Seahawks have enought big backs to make that work without Lynch.
Christine Michael out of Tex A&M is a 5-10 221 pound banger with some burst. Robert Turpin a 222 pound Hercules. Now add three others all over 235 pounds.
I'm not paying an old running back big $$$$. There is no position where the talent level is not all that dramatic. Yes yes......we do have a few exceptions.
