I remember that I was in Bozeman, Montana to watch us agonisingly lose game one of that series with two bank threes, one from Amare and the other from Starbury. This I was in Vegas by the time game 4 rolled around. ;)

Why would you ever leave beautiful Montana for the shithole of Vegas?

I was on a road trip with my best mate. We started in Salt Lake City, drove east to Denver along I70 (one of the most diversely beautiful drives I've ever made), then north to Yellowstone, west through Montana to Seattle, down the coast to San Fran, and finally across to Vegas. By the time we got to Vegas we'd driven far enough and both just wanted to play poker and chill out by the pool. It was 2003, so Vegas wasn't nearly the shithole it is today.

Was at the game that Starbury banked in the GW 3. I pulled a Phil Jackson and just sat in my seat in silence for like 3 minutes after that shot went in. Couldn't believe we had given it away, especially after Marbury had played shitty most of that game.

I like how Starbury sold his line of cheaper priced basketball shoes.

I was hoping for another level...and another...and another. Maybe 3, or you know, 4.

That was basically our Dallas series that year. We faced the Lakers with much better focus than the previous years.

How about the Jake Voskuhl bullshit from Game 4 (couldn't find a video)?

Don't forget the Amare bullshit! Must've been horrible to be there. And yeah, we totally gave that game away after leading by 7 or 8 early in the 4th IIRC.

After the game we still had a long way to go, so I had to drive us all the way to Missoula stewing on that defeat. My mate was very patient as best mates are. :lol

Watching it again, it's a huge travel too - 3 1/2 steps by my count.
