It looked like it snapped above the ankle though.. That shin area is a horrible place to take a break.. It looked like a full break though, those recover much better.
Ugh like Ware in NCAA tournament. Just horrible.

I wouldn't say that. It's pretty serious man. Especially for an athlete that relies on jumping so much. a Full break is much better, tho you dont want a shattered bone. Sure we will know soon enough.

I probably should mentioned I was comparing an ACL vs a clean bone snap. Hopefully not shattered, that would be much more serious. A clean snap is not as serious as an ACL.

They have been convinced that "playing for your country" will "add to your resume", which helps the perception of their "legacy", when in reality, it means absolutely nothing from any standpoint, tbh..it's especially sad that they mostly target Black players and they breed these niggas to believe that it's a honour to play for your country and jeaopardize your career:lol..

i never trust dr klapper. he also said kobe would be back by opening night after the achilles and that he would come back stronger than ever :lol
Dr. Besteva says he wont be able to return for most of the regular season. That problem with a compound fracture is not the bone itself but its the near by nerves it damages. When the bone explodes like that, it causes damage to nerves and he may be in rehab for 6-8 months before he can even begin training.
Again, its not the bones Id be worried about, they heal pretty fast. Its the nerve damage, if he avoided that some how then he'll have a faster recovery. Take a look at MMA fighter Corey Hill and Anderson Silva.
Both suffered a compound fracture, Corey Hills was career ending as he sustained severe nerve damage. Anderson Silva miraculously did not damage nerves but he required 8 months before he could train again and is going to fight in January making it a 1 year and 1 month lay off.

If Shaun Livingston can recover from his horrible accident then Paul George should be fine. A broken leg is nowhere close to as bad as a blown knee..
Fuck me. Huge blow for Paul George

:lol that moron Stephenson taking a shittier deal with the Hornets when he could have carried the load(and failed, since he's pretty overrated, but still) for the Pacers this season..
How is that bad for Stephenson again? He signed for a short term deal so he could get paid and also be a UFA at 27.

well pacers couldve match that offer sheet...but they didnt...
? Stephenson was a second round pick so he was an unrestricted free agent. Pacers couldn't match.

Slightly more money per year and a shorter term of contract. He would be a free agent at 27 as opposed to 29. Thats a very smart move. He has a chance to improve his stock and make much more. Taking the money on the the Pacers offered $ 44 million over 5 years was safer but probably would have cost him $ 10 million easily.
If he were to sign, say a 4 years $ 50 million dollar deal in 2017 he would make $52 million over 5 seasons as opposed to 5 years, $44 million.

I'll just bet it should.
Media will run interference for the league here. They're on the case. By Monday it'll all be cleaned up, the police yellow tape a forgotten memory. Perhaps it will even be termed a "good thing." tee, hee.

His 3rd year with the Hornets is a team option, so he's not going to get another big contract until year 4(only a year less than the Indy deal) and he's only making an additional 1 million per year with Charlotte for the first 2 years IIRC..
Your argument about raising his stock is fine, but Stephenson is already seen as a risky investment and a potential cancer on a team, there's a very good chance that his stock is only going to decline, tbh..even from an on court perspective, his current stock is as high as it will get IMO, he's pretty overrated..

Lance is betting on himself. I think he made a smart move. He'll get a bigger deal in 2017 (two or even three years earlier, not one). If the cap really explodes then, $18M/2 might be slightly above average. Of course, if Lance has a poor two/three years in Charlotte, he'll lose money. But that's something he can control for the most part. In the interim, he's going to be on a much better team.

He'll play basketball again but he won't be the same player. Everytime he jumps, he'll be thinking of that fck'd up shit and he won't be going at 100 percent.
Neither Lance nor Paul will ever make a significant difference to any NBA team for a full season.

A lot of niggz saying they almost 'threw up' when they saw this shit. Reactions will vary but, I can watch humans be tortured all day long, clubbed to death, beheaded, burned alive, stoned to death, etc...still won't throw up or sense any urge to do. The worst part of this injury is that it was totally random and avoidable - just extraordinarily bad luck.
NBA players land like that all the time. 99.9999999999999999% of the time, your foot lands square on the floor, and your body hits the soft-padded basket pole, preventing injury.
...But in this case, his foot just happened to land halfway on the floor and halfway on the basket pole. Due to the momentum of his fast-moving body, and due to the angle of his body, his full body-weight continued to fall down onto his leg, causing it to snap in half.
And that's why we don't play in the summer.

But at least he broke his leg and did not tear his ACL. But still, nasty.
I remember a few years back, not sure how many, I was flipping through channels and came across some documentary about basketball on trampoline tryouts. Turns out, it ended being for Slamball teams.
All I remember it this one dude coming down like he had done plenty of times, but I think misjudged how high he was in the air. Dude practically ripped his ankle right off his foot. Looked like it was hanging by his skin. It was the reaction from the players that I'll never forget. Dudes scrambling around looking completely shaken, like it could've easily been them. Some dudes quit right after that.
Never saw it again after that. Wonder if it's on YouTube.

Paul George is changing his number to 13 (PG-13)
Before the deadline in the first week of March, Paul George applied for and was granted the right to switch from No. 24 to No. 13.
Per league rules for a player who changes jersey numbers on the same team, George will have to buy up all remaining No. 24s from the marketplace.
"That's got a ring to it, PG-13," George said on Jimmy Kimmel in January.
Over the past month, George has tweeted trece, which means 13 in Spanish, seven times.

"• Indiana. Something is about to break here. Indy is only about $3 million under the tax, and Stephenson remains unsigned in a shrinking market. Every minute he sits out there lowers his return price and raises the possibility that some wild-card team just says, “Screw it, let’s see if we can just outbid Indiana or take a short-term flier on him.”
