6 Year extension, reportedly better than Kaepernick. Which was 6/126 with 61 guaranteed. Haven't seen the monetary breakdown yet.

Edit: 6/96 Million dollar extension. 115 million with escalators. 17 million fully guaranteed.

Yeah, Flacco's is definitely not the worst contract in NFL history anymore.

well, it wont be horrible if structured like Kaepernicks, where he can be cut any year... but thats a really big number for a merely competent qb

Only good to come out of all this is EJ's guaranteed not to see another contract from Buffalo

17M guaranteed seems to be more than reasonable for his production, no?

I'm stunned.

I feel so sorry for all those "GREAT" players from once upon a time who made peanuts compared to these guys today. Andy Dalton is a middle of the pack talent and it's real obvious.

Hell, both Ken Anderson and Boomer Esaison took the Bengals to the SB, they made a fraction of what Dalton is making....combined.

lol I almost died when I saw this. Cincinnati just doesn't know when to let go do they? I mean I'm not saying give up on Andy Dalton, but if it comes down to it I sure as hell would before giving him a contract like this. McCarron is probably better anyways :lol

BTW both were better than him as well, easily :lol

:cry Yez, Yez dis is the re-al-ah-tee we face going into next ah see-zin. But, of all the guys getting monster pay days, at least we can say he is the superior member of the group. I mean, you saw what he did with no O-Line last year, Champs :cry, we tha Champs :cry

I know you have to hype up the O-Line in order to downplay Wilson for your "game manager" schtick, but they really did suck last year.... Okung got injured and had a down year, Unger had a down year, McQuistan was a dumpster fire....

Unger was hurt early in the season too tbh. anybody remember that rams game where they almost lost to kellen clemens? det rams d-line was just abusing the seahawks up front all night

I am confused by NFL contracts tbh..who cares what they sign him too, isn't the guaranteed money/likely bonuses what matters?

Yep, it's basically on a year to year basis after the guaranteed money. Just restructure or cut the guy if he starts declining tbh.

wow, only 17 mill guaranteed? that's a good deal for Cincy, and I'm a Dalton hater. they can toss him with very little cap hit as soon as they find a legit QB, but they can also take their time looking...

Since spy gate, how long has it been since your last championship? I'll wait.

In fact, will you win this year? :lol

Just STFU and accept the rebuild, bitch. Bum ass AFC.

Actually it will be much improved. With Okung and Unger back healthy it's a massive upgrade instantly as they are both Pro Bowlers. So, :lol

The Bengals had the 3rd ranked defense in the league last season, hell, they had the 10th ranked offense, few teams rank that high on both sides of the ball. They were plus 14 in the all important sacks/sacked.

What's not to like? Two good backs, A.J.Green a stud. Dalton did have over 4000 yards passing.

Sure, he;s getting paid too much but the team does look good on paper and should win the division.

Actually if it was not for two key injuries around tge end of the regular, they would have had a shot at the sb.
