Indeed. I have worn a pair only once and that was on a deep-sea fishing trip and I got sunburned in the shape of holes...never again.

I know of people who wear them to work.

they make decent boat shoes when you're on a deck that's designed to flood

They look like crap but if you have plantar fasciitis or heel pain these are some of the best shoes to wear.
I use these around the house instead of walking barefoot because the cushioning in the
Crocs makes walking easy...try it! you will get relief.

I haven't tried them myself, but doctors, nurses and lots of other hospital staff wear them exclusively. Supposed to be as comfortable a shoe as you can get.

I wear them when traveling. Easy on, easy off (when not in the TSA precheck). They are comfortable and not falsely comfortable (those things that you think are comfortable at first but after an hour or so become annoyingly uncomfortable).

I stay away from the hybrids though, camo crocs or nothing. Problem is they don't show wear anywhere but on the bottom, and if you wear them on a boat, you better have fresh ones else you'll bust your ass.

I've had a pair before, and they are super comfy and make your feet feel great. Lots of sweatiness in the feet with them on though. Chefs love them too, they undercut Birkenstock pretty good on kitchen clog prices.

I bought a pair a couple of years ago and my now 18 year son made fun of me to all hell. Years later, if he hadn't ripped them up so bad from wearing them so much, he probably would be taking them with him when he starts school at Texas State.

They are the best for the beach. Dry quickly, don't get hot from sun... Swimmimg with them on is crap though.
