View Full Version : How do we perform with our 2 best players having FIBA virus?

our two most important players will play the FIBA worlds (Boris and Splitter)

Splitter is the sole reason we beat Dallas and Portland, and the best 1v1 defender in recent history. Him not winning DPOTY is as laughable as Rose Mvp. Boris "Les Intangibles" is heads and shoulders our 2nd best player, he's a better point guard than Parker but 5 times the size

So, how will we perform with both these players possibly going deep into the FIBA Worlds? I think it will be hard to repeat last season

testies back on the, "I've only been a fan of the NBA for about 5 minutes but I think I know enough to make threads" takes. I would assume blue font if not for his other posts.

In Patty Mills doing Kawhi Leonard voice:

"Kawhi Leonard, 7th most important player."

Why would we want the Heat to beat the Pacers? Miami beat us in the Finals the year before. Prior to the Finals, most Spurs fans had us playing the Heat and it going to 7 (maybe 60-40 in favor of the Spurs), while we would have swept Indiana or gone to 5 at worst. Even now looking back, I don't think the Pacers had anything more for us than the Heat.

Good effort. You're still a terrible poster and you cliff jumped in game threads every damn day.

yep. keep him in shape. And it's not like he is gonna play Parker minutes for spurs anyways.

Tiago also wont be playing parker-type minutes.

Yeah both don't play enough minutes of that to amount to much. The Spurs core 4 all had the summer off. I'm expecting Parker to be at 18 ppg and 7 Apg this season.

I'm really hoping Parker rediscovers his passing. Seems like he had trouble this year, despite the great offense. Felt at times like the ball moved better when he wasn't on the floor.

Paul Garcia PS (@PaulGarciaPS) tweeted at 11:17 AM on Sun, Aug 10, 2014:
From last RT from @FRABasketball, Boris Diaw won't play in France's exhibition vs Serbia - likely due to insurance issue w/ new contract

Tiago really showed his importance to the team with his effort against Dallas and his defense against Aldridge. But to call him one of the two most important players on the Spurs is REALLY stretching it obviously

:lol I agree with everything except the "good effort" part. You're giving him too much credit with that.
