We had it for awhile then let it go, then we decided to get it back. It was probably a good six months ago we let it go. While I like to new look, whats with their movie selections? Tons of movies that were there six months ago? What's with all those Asian flicks?

I do like this feature....because you watched whatever....then all those sorta similiar movies. Well, the price is right I suppose.

If someone is just now starting (who would that be?) to get into movies it would be pretty good. But for anyone into movies, yep, 5-6 good ones with loads of ..nay!

I do start a lot of movies (give it five minutes) so I can get that....because ya watched..... thing working for me.

Netflix has a ton of hidden gems. You just have to look for it.

Also, you may want to go to their actual site and re-arrange and or add the categories that you like and take out the ones you do not.

Netflix sucks. They hardly ever add new content, but then again, how much new content can you possibly bring in?

Yes, go in there, log in and go into your account then click the "taste preference" link to arrange what you like to see or add as far as genre and so on.

It is also easier to search for the movies you're looking for with a keyboard.

I guess you're half right. They could have a better movie catalog but then again, if you want the movies you're specifically looking for, torrent is your friend.

I myself dont care a terrible lot about the movies that they do have. I'm in it mainly for the shows. There are tons of top quality full tv shows on there and more keep coming in every so often so I'm happy about that.

For once I agree with Avante on something. I don't care if a movie is Oscar worthy. I watch to be entertained, not taught a lesson about history and the human condition. I'd rather see some time travel shit than watch a bunch of skinny jews die of starvation in the bottom of a shitter.

Franklin
08-10-2014, 03:11 AM
It depends on how you define "entertained" imho. Some people buy tickets or discs to watch documentaries or movies that are like documentaries to get educated, or get moved to tears, and I don't think those people pay for those movies to get "entertained". Every genre of movies serve a specific purpose and people buy those films for that same purpose. People watch horror movies to gain an excuse for crying, they take romantic movies as aphrodisiacs, etc... People watch movies for different experiences, and you can include all those experiences (emotional, visual etc...) in the domain of entertainment, and therefore you can call it entertainment industry, but here the meaning of the word "entertainment" is far broader than just "joy", imho.

Saw this last night. Not a bad movie to waste time if you have it but I didn't like it much.

The pace was at a snail type level and outside of the police conflict the main character had, the movie didn't have much going for it. It was just basically about those 2 friend kids and their relationship the whole movie. Everything else felt secondary.

Saw....The Jimi Hendrix Story...a new release.

Growing up as a kid he listened to his dads record collection, guys like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and Chuck Berry. Owning an old acoustic guitar his dad had bought him Jimi tried to mimic what he was hearing. He was always a blues cat but had to play what sold. I'd forgotten just out outerworldly/alien he was.

We see some photos I'd never seen before and I;m sure nobody here has either. I highly recommend this flick.
