Wish Manu would continue playing for Spurs and his National team until after 2016 Olympics. Why is he so intent on retiring? He's still the best 2 guard in the League.

Sounds like he's certainly retiring after this upcoming season. If he planned to play in the 15/16 season he'd almost certainly play in the Rio Olympics.

Ginobili said he normally does not feel any pain but “when I jump, push or brake on the parquet (floor) is when it starts hurting.

I could actually see Manu retiring and having one final hurah in the Olympics with Argentina

Well, if Manu never gets healthy again he was still huge carrying the Spurs back from that 16 point deficit in Game 5. Not sure what else a Spurs fan could ask out of him tbh.

So basically...three of the main staples of movement in basketball?

Trying to play when you can't move laterally or jump is basically pointless. I've tried, and you do more bad than good out there.

No question not playing for the NT was the right move . . .

Can't he be an assistant coach or something. That roster sucks. I don't have an issue of him playing (if he was healthy), but they won't even crack the quarters.

suprised, Manu is acting a bit like a drama queen.

but he must love his country

nah he's just one of the biggest drama queens around

this love for country shit is just BS. He loves San Antonio and will probably stay there for good.

I don't get how this makes him a drama queen. When news says he wants to play you shit on him and when he decides he won't you do the same. Ungrateful bastards.

How is announcing "fucking crying about it"?

How is announcing "fucking crying about it"?He's been trying to fight the decision since it was first made, going to multiple doctors, trying to bypass rules, and just being a plain bitch. At some point, and that point was a while back, it gets fucking annoying. No more announcements, no more "98% sure he won't play" leaving the door slightly open, just no more fucking crying about it, tbh. I can tell we're not going to agree so let's just agree to disagree...
