View Full Version : Team most likely to regress?

Which team is most likely to regress from their success of last season, tbh?..

- Kansas City(thrived against terrible teams, couldn't beat the better teams)

- Indianapolis(no roster improvements, statistically inferior to their actual record last year)

- San Fran(injuries, suspensions, aging, tough division)

- Philadelphia(Foles' fluke season, beat up on shitty teams)

- Carolina(a lot of close wins, officiating helped, no roster improvements)

Colts aren't the likeliest to fail, but their division is getting better.

Kansas City already regressed after the first meeting with the Broncs. They'll bottom out this year. Carolina is behind them with Indy being a probable third since they won some fortunate games.

I like Houston to win the division, tbh..I think they quit on Kubiak/Schaub last year, and their defense should be back to playing at a high level..

i would never pick a team with Ryan Fitzpatrick starting at QB to win a division, even if its the AFC South

from last year's playoff teams i expect the chiefs and panthers to drop. it wouldn't shock me if SF went 9-7 or 10-6, and as we saw last year with AZ, in today's NFC 10 wins isn't a surefire playoff birth
i dont think philly is as good as they looked last year, but they're in the worst division in the conference, so they could probably make the playoffs going 8-8 or 9-7

Carolina, duh!

Best fron 7 in the NFL? Fixed up receiving core from 30 last year. No way we win 12 games again.:sleep

The obvious answer is Seattle, since they have nowhere to go but down, but Carolina has the potential to be sub-.500.

cotchery and avant are not "fixing up" any NFL caliber wide receiver core. neither of those guys would crack the raiders 53 man roster, and that's saying something. benjamin looked good, but he's not even as dependable as 2013 steve smith. i want to see how the o-line and secondary holds up... their front 7 is great and its a given, but they lost basically their entire secondary

In all seriousness, it really doesn't bother me. In a way I expect us to decline. I don't think 12 wins will happen in the NFC South. The division is too tough. I'm looking at 9-11 wins.

Doesn't mean we will decline. Our secondary and receivers were shit last year. Only concern is the O-Line. But they weren't too hot lat year either.

Avant is a vet.
that doesn't change the fact that he sucks. ur literally just saying "he has been in the NFL"

realistically if the raiders kept 5 WR's right now they'd keep James Jones, Rod Streater, Denarius Moore, Andre Holmes, and Brice Butler while cutting Greg Little. neither avant nor cotchery would crack the list

at Cinn
at GB
Seattle
NO
at Philly

...they could go 2-3/1-4 there. There will be no 8 game winning strecth this season.

From 12-4 to....hmmm?..9-7.

Not really. The division is overrated as a whole. Yeah Tampa and the Falcons should improve since they sucked ass last year, but neither are viable playoff teams right now. I don't think the division as a whole is that great.
