Post some forgotten gems if you can find them...I'll start with a primo 2001 Bears-Browns classic featuring Tim Couch, Shane Matthews, James Jackson (the forgotten Hurricoons back of the great 98-02 era), and Antony A-Train Thomas. Coaching duel between Butch Davis and Dick Jauron. Remember this one JoeTait75? The 49ers-Bears game a week earlier was insane too.

Hollywood couldn't have scripted it any better.

It's 1985 and the Chicago Bears are beating up everyone, then it becomes...."can they match the Dolphins as the only undefeated team? And it's looking like...yes they can.

Then here comes a Monday Night Football game in......Miami.

Yep, that's right it took the Dolphins to save the Dolphins. The Bears only lost one game in 85.

Other than a HS game between Porterville and Tulare Union...86-79** the best football game I ever saw....

Boise State beating Oklahoma.......sorry NFL.

** only HS game I'd been to in years.

Speaking of near-undefeateds, anybody remember the Kent Graham deep ball to Amani Toomer late in the 4th that dealt 13-0 Denver their first loss (1998)? Dolphins would go on to beat them next week on Monday night, but the Giant game is always forgotten

can't find a youtube link but this is absolutely worth it

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d814c5e25/NFL-GameDay-Raiders-vs-Steelers-highlights

I remember watching that game at Town Tavern on Southside of Pittsburgh...year after they won the SB, start 6-2 then lost 5 in a row, including that game. Ended the year 9-7, had a win against GB (a game for the ages), but missed out on the playoffs. The defense just inexplicably collapsed that year, but those Steelers were dangerous as fuck offensively

They used to have an NFL Sound FX of this game on Hulu, but it got taken down for some reason. That was a treat of a game.

Bucs and Rams in 2000:

Sucks I can't find a better video. That was one of my favorite games of all time. Pretty much the reason why I still follow them.

Ravens, Chargers 2006

Another game Hulu had an FX for that isn't available now. Steve McNair threw the game-winner to Todd Heap with less than a minute left in the game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7wn5Bqkgdg

Let's not forget the Cowboys and Redskins in that same year. The Boys were about to kick the game-winning FG with time expiring. It got blocked a returned (by Sean Taylor--RIP) to just inside Dallas' territory with no time left on the clock. But Dallas was called for a facemask penalty, which allowed Washington to get an untimed kick. Redskins 22, Boys 19.

I remember a bunch of us just sitting there stunned in front of the TV for about 20 minutes after that game ended. I'm still not sure how they lost. How do you lose a game in which you're up 21-7 and have the ball in the opposing team's territory with less than three minutes to play? I swear, the 2001 Bears were the worst 13-3 team in NFL history.

The real bitch of it is that the Browns wasted the one game in Courtney Brown's career in which he actually showed up and played like the top pick in the draft. He was a beast that day.

For me personally I always remember a lot of Bucs vs. Eagles games.

Ronde Barber running 90 yards to go to the Super Bowl pretty much tops the list. Or the 62 yard Matt Bryant field goal to beat the Eagles in a regular season game. (The look on McNabb's face is still priceless to me)

But you can't have the good without the bad. Peyton Manning leading a 4th Q comeback against my Bucs on MNF when they were down by a million. That was a crazy finish....I think the biggest 4th Q comback in MNF history??? I may be wrong.....and I'm not gonna look that game up. Brings up too many bad memories....

NFC Playoffs = Candlestick Park

When we had the Leagues Elite Passing Offense, it hurt us but it was perfect for the Defensive Rushing team we have now. Sad to see it gone. Montana was a scrappy QB not the precise machine Young was, so Joe was perfect for the Stick

It was a Monday night game in Denver in the snow. Denver kick offs to...damn if I can remember....well the return guy fumbles, Denver scoop and score. 7 to 0. So Denver kick offs again, return man fumbles, Denver scoop and score. 14-0.

Gale Sayers has scored five tds vs the Niners, they have a big lead so they take Sayers out. Somebody gets to coach George Halas that Gale only needs one more score to tie an NFL record, so........they stick him back to return a punt, yep.....six TD's.
