I gotta say, I loved Splitter during this season, I think he was fantastic on defense.
But this tournement proves how brilliant pop's system is, it makes splitter a legitimate starter in a championship team
While he's actually a terrible player. No offense, no athleticism at all, he's so weak and he can't grab a goddamn rebound.
Trade that fuck
How the hell did we win a championship if we don't have any legit bigman but timmy?!
No wonder we shoot so many 3's.

Anyway...
I can't believe that Brazil can't field a competent back court. A nation as big as that has got to have some decent guards somewhere. Or they could even try to naturalize some Americans who don't have a chance to make the US team. This nation has more than enough decent guards to go around.

Brazilian coaches are a bunch of dumb old fucks who just want to win. They don't develop players. just tell them to shoot threes. Brazil didn't even played as a team until Magnano arrived.

Brazil just starts very slow ... their first quarters were all terrible in this WC ... and I really wish Pau Gasol can keep this up in Chicago to put some power into the Eastern Conference

I wonder how Pau would look in Pop's system instead of Splitter even at this age and his pussy condition.

Pau going full-on supernova. The USA is going to be in trouble if this keeps up.

ESPN's box score as Spain having six starters. No wonder they're winning.

Wait, Brazil has a 39-year-old on their team? Unless this guy is a legendary player like Manu, that's crazy.

All you guys that were saying he's washed up better not come in here now and start saying how great he looks.
I still don't know why he chose Chicago. Do you think coach Thibodeau will be able to have a decent offensive system to use his skills? I don't know why he went to such an offensively challenged team with a very average offensive system.
Spain will edge Team USA when they meet for Gold. It's their title to lose.

The difference on the court was of a country that developes their players and invests in sports as an education vs a country where you have to be a hero to be able to be a professional athlete of any kind (except soccer), no infrastructure, no public school system, no coaching, nothing..

No. He's a mserable man's Gary Neal. And a skinny version of WP, loves to get in a fight. To make it worse he is De Culo minded.

This is a portuguese heritage. Brazilian coaches don't like to waste time developing players. You will never see a Chip Engelland in any brazilian team, pro or not. The portuguese didn't build shit in Brazil, they just wanted gold or any assets they could take with less effort. They are lazy, don't like to work, to build and develop anything.
And this fucking culture has deeply roots in the brazilian society ,not just in basketball. Wait until Rio 2016 and You will figure what I'm talking about. The chinese started developing players and athletes ten years before Beijing 2008. What's Brazil is doing? Nothing!
It's not only in sports, it's everywhere, everyday, everytime. Brazilians can't make plans, can't follow a schedule, they want imediate results for everything. That's why nothing Works there.
