Baynes FG% is a little too low, but otherwise he continues to impress!

México is a shitty team if I'm not mistaken.

They lost the final to Puerto Rico but the tournament didn't mean much, Team USA had D-Leaguers and its best players were Greg Stiemsma and Blake Ahearn.

Baynes and Dieng are kind of falling back to Earth.

Nice, Baynes took that Ayon bitch to school. 21 points, 5 rebs, 3 blocks, 9-10 at the line.

Meanwhile, Ayreson had 10 points and was a fantastic 3-8 from the FT line.

Baines was excellent last night - he is earning more money every game he plays. I wonder what the Spurs will have to throw at him to keep him now? 7mil/3yrs? I think he is worth it as our fourth big.

He didn't play well against Mexico, but I would love to see the Spurs sign Joe Ingles as our backup SF while SloMo develops. Ingles is smart and tough, a good passer, decent shooter, would probably be solid in our system.

We should also try to bring Matthew Dellavedova over at some point. He'd be a perfect spur.

You sound like a typical Spurs fan from Argentina circa 2003-2010 :lol

I love our basketball team. I predicted Patty Mills to the Spurs long before it happened and wanted it to happen. Baynes is awesome. This was more a stab at Ruff...

I was taking the piss,

though we should sack Ayres and Daye, sign Baynes and Ingles, trade Cojo for Delly and ad Brokoff

Stein said that around 7 teams were interested in Ingles. That'd turn into a bidding war tbh.

Just read about that (via @Dragic). Why did Australia do that? Losing 83:91 after leading 42:29 at half. Any benefit for them in the standings/16s?

yea if they are 3rd in group they avoid USA in top 8. Anyway whoever they get in top 8 is going to eliminate them if they even get there.

Five games in six days, guaranteed to make final sixteen. What would Pop do with the necessary stars to give best chance to move forward.

That's it. They rested Baynes and Ingles and Dellavedova played 3 minutes. SLO can bitch all they want. Should have beaten Lithuania.

Shouldn't have tanked - better to beat DOM and then lose to USA in the quarter finals than losing to Turkey straight away. Will root for Australia, but Turkey is better.

Australia have an easy case - team already qualified, players rested, poorly motivated, etc. bullshit combined with FIBA never doing anything about other similar incidents in the past. Not a chance they're punished though they prob deserve being thrown out of the next world cup or olympics.
