The defense looked good in the first half. That's progress for me. They can't help it the offense was short handed and that even the better players are compounding the issues by turning the ball over.

Our D is definitely better.
Our offensive line was as bad as it could be.
And Swoopes stares down his receivers and really is not very instinctive.
No one should put Swoopes QB skills and IQ on a Manziel level, he has a lot to learn, it don't come easy for him.

We made some horrible turnovers and got beat by a superior team.

Yet I am optimistic about the future. A good fanny kicking is a good learning experience.
If you can't take this shit, you are not a Texas fan to begin with. Go back before Brown and look at those scores.

This is actually a legit question but I don't know I would call it fight.
BYU must be lauded for keeping up with the first option on offense.
It eventually opened up leaving gaping holes. So much attention went to the best athlete on the field, the BYU QB.
BYU stuck with it, and certainly the 3 and outs with a limited Swoopes just wore us down.
Mentally when we got down, big mistakes were made. The LBs were really making bad decisions. Did anyone hear Hicks name called in the 3rd quarter? Edmond was definitely slower and just got shed. Cedric Reed took a number of very bad lines. Look at the goal line play. I need to go back and watch some of it, not good.

If the above is soft, then yes.

I have seen too many really good plays on D to be totally disillusioned. Quandry Diggs int. was as good as it gets for the entire play. Malcolm Brown beasted. There were some very good plays on D. Consistency... Not good. The offense will have to have deception involved somewhere down the road. Plain vanilla with a bad o line does not work on good teams.
