The Los Angeles Clippers signed Ekpe Udoh to a one-year, $1 million deal on Wednesday, according to Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears (https://twitter.com/SpearsNBAYahoo/status/507209808076742658).

As a minimum-salary signing, this is a steal for the Clippers. It addresses the team's most glaring need: interior defense. Udoh has been under the radar in a crowded Milwaukee Bucks rotation for the past few years, but he's a gifted pick-and-roll defender and rim protector.

This has been rumored for the last week or so, and the match made a lot of sense. The Clippers added some skill up front when they signed Spencer Hawes early in the summer, but that did nothing to address the defensive issues that sprung up every time DeAndre Jordan went to the bench last year.

For Udoh, who just needed a situation where he'd see the floor, this should be perfect. He'll play in games that matter, and if he produces he'll give himself a chance to get a raise next year.

Los Angeles is also expected to officially sign Chris Douglas-Roberts official on Wednesday, per Dan Woike of the Orange County Register, and with these moves -- and the reported Hedo Turkoglu deal -- the team's offseason appears to be complete.

Wow, not a glamorous name by any means, but this a is very good pickup for the Clippers who needed another interior defender. We won't be seeing Hollins too which is always a big plus in my book. If Doc can swing another deal and upgrade Barnes at SF we are all set.

PF Griffin | Udoh | Big Baby | Hedo
SF Barnes | CDR | Bullock
C Jordan | Hawes
SG Redick | Crawford | Wilcox
PG Paul | Farmar

Decent depth signing.... as a fringe depth big, he's still a lot more useful than Ryan Foulins :lol
