Sadly you are probably very correct. And I'm not so sure they beat Iowa St. Their defense still is horrible. Also the short comings of KK's coaching and his staff are becoming more and more evident each week. It's easy to recruit offensive players to that system....not so easy to recruit defensive players.

the big 12 is still a pass happy league so I think the Raiders get by on defense just enough this year to sneak into a bowl game.

KK is only in his second year. These players minus a few jucos are mostly Tub's recruits.

As for the 2015 recruiting year, Tech has brought in 5 star LB transfer Mike Mitchell and 5 star DE Breiden Fehoko. Those two are easily the highest rated defensive recruits Tech has ever had. I agree that it's difficult to recruit defensive players at Tech, but I think Kliff has done better at it than his predecessors.
