View Full Version : Bulls: Phil says Kobe's work ethic was beyond MJ's, Laker fans make out over the news

I just saw on Facebook all the Laker fans were posting Kobe>MJ, see you guys he's worth the contract. Just because Phil said Kobe's work ethic was greater, gimme a break man.

Q: Is Kobe Bryant the model for Carmelo Anthony?
A: No. No one can approach that. I don’t expect anybody to be able to model their behavior after that, although Kobe modeled his behavior a lot about Michael Jordan, but he went beyond Michael in his attitude towards training, and I know Mike would probably question me saying that, but he did.

All that work ethic and he wasn't even top 2 in his own era. Shame shame :lol

It's not a knock on him though. He could've went down the same path of Iverson, Vince Carter etc, but perhaps because of this dedication he's in discussion among some of the greatest players of not only his generation, but all time.

Kobe had one thing going for him: He landed in LA with Shaq on the horizon. After that and the success Shaq brought to the team, they were a magnet for talent. 2 years of dick sucking brought MVPau aboard and they were back on top.

In fact, weren't they doing relatively ok last year before Kobe "returned"?

Phil said Kobe's work ethic was greater, gimme a break man.
Phildos actual quote:
"attitude towards training"
Not "work ethic".

Kirby knows he has no where near the physical skills of Jordan so did train harder in an attempt to be a good role player and look good for his Best Supporting Actress awards. Jordan OTOH put in so much effort on the court and in the Bulls lively practice sessions that he did not have as much energy in the offseason.

And what will your excuse be when MVPau takes Chi-town to the 2nd round while Kobe misses the playoffs again, presiding over the worst Laker teams in franchise history?

How do you explain Harden taking Dwert to a 4 seed while Kobe could barely carry him to a playoff birth and ultimately The Sweep?

Uh, uh, none of that crapola. None of that "2nd round" malarkey. None of that "4 seed" malarkey. He'll make the playoffs + win the last game he plays, or, he is one of 29 in last place.
