Hello all Spurstalkers!


I need your help

Krista, my girlfriend, and avid attendee of many GTGs is auditioning for American Idol tomorrow. She was all region choir at Lee High School her Sophmore, Junior, and Senior years. She was 3rd chair region choir and solo and ensemble first place all 4 years. She was also in the UTSA choir with a solo her freshman year.


heres where all of my ST family comes in.


I need crossed fingers, lucky coins to be rubbed, any rituals that help others out. She is kind of nervous, and wants to do well, so lets hear it guys. She told me if she makes it to Califonia, she will sing in my Manu Road Jersey just to piss off some laker fans (especailly a former Laker girl herself) when she is there!!

Thank you all!!! I am leaving in a few... then have to get up at the buttcrack of dawn and sit just to see IF i can get an audition. I am not expecting anything to come of this, just going for the experience. But thank you for all your support. Hopefully it will work!! I will let Billy know what is going on and he can keep you posted.

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to say thank you for all your support! That in itself makes me feel awesome! Here's the scoop for those interested in details:

I got a wristband and ticket Wednesday. Went to bed that night at 11:30pm to wake up at 3 AM. Got to the Erwin center at 4:45 AM. Stood in line until 7:30 AM when they finally let us in. (We were wondering why they gave us the assigned seating ticket just to make us wait outside.) Who knows. Anyway, we had to do lots of stuff for tv outside and when we got inside. We had to say stuff like: Simon, Don't Mess With Texas, Ya'll Come Back Now Ya Hear, Austin Rocks, We Miss You Simon, Yee Haw, and other idiodic things to say. By that time I was really tired and started to get bitchy so I was not in the mood to participate much (like they would see me in the crowd) and I am a country girl, but no wonder everyone thinks we ride around on our horses down here. LOL So...after we got in we had to do more yelling and then we had to sing Deep in the Heart of Texas. They were about 3 or 4,000 people there yesterday. On the ground floor were 11 booths separated by curtains. When your section is called...you walk down, get your picture taken, then stand in groups of four infront of a booth. A producer and a couple other people are on the other side of the table. So, everyone can watch you sing, if you are loud enough they hear you, and of course the people in line behind hear you as well as the producers and people next to you. So...talk about nerve wrecking. Anyway, if you made it to the next round you got a yellow piece of paper, if not, you walked outside and your wristband was clipped immediately. So...Paula, Simon, and Randy were never seen. I already knew that you didn't sing for them first though. I wasn't nervous all day until it was my turn to sing. I tried my best though and had a fantastic experience!!!!!! I also have a t-shirt so...life isn't all bad. :-)

Well there it is... Sorry about it being so long!

One thing I did gain from this experience is confidence. Thanks again for all of your support!!! I really appreciate it!!!

Yeah, they definitely let some not so good singers go through. Someone with purple hair, one who danced while they sang, a balloon maker and there were others...

One guy was REALLY good and we all booood (not really a word I think) when he didnt make it through. oh well

For AI it's all about the less talented. My friend tried out in SF and for the third time she was rejected. But she did make it to the 2nd round this time. She is an awesome singer and has a great personality...but they turned her down and put in some crappy people. I'm not just saying that because I'm her friend. lol

She was reading something online and this guy said that the girl that he auditioned for in the 2nd round told him "You have a wonderful voice....but we have too many people already." WTF?! It's just retarded.

From what I heard on the radio Simon, Paula and Randy won't be doing their judging until October for the people that did make it that far. So they weren't even there.

I honestly don't see how they can pull from people in a group. They should do audition tapes, but I guess that would be too time consuming to search through. But then again, most talent shows have people send in audition tapes, right?
