I've seen them at Verizon the last two years. They put on an awesome show. Nobody sits for 3 hours!

Favorite Rush Lyric from "Lakeside Park".

Everyone would gather on the 24th of May
Sitting in the sand to watch the fireworks display
Dancing fires on the beach, singing songs together
Although it's just a memory, some memories last forever

Depending on my mood, it rotates between "Natural Science," "La Villa Strangiato," "The Manhattan Project," and "Analog Kid"

i hate rush with a passion.
if i had a time machine I'd go back and make sure they never ever formed a band.

why?

becasue it simply sounds like shit.
I never even knew who they were, i still don;t know any info about the band or whose in it or anything.. i just can't stand the way they sound.
it's not good. it is not good. it makes me want to rip the radio right out of my dashboard.

when I lived in victoria the local rock station played RUSH songs alllllll theeeee tiiimmmmmeeeeeeee. LIke 3 or 4 rush songs an hour.
it was pure hell.

hmmmmm...guess it's a matter of taste. I think they are arguably the most musically talented rock band around. All three are virtuosos on their particular instruments.

Now if Geddy Lee's voice is your main complaint...well, I can understand that...

IMO, some of Rush's worst songs are the ones that are overplayed on the radio... Freewill, Closer to the Heart, Tom Sawyer (though it's actually finally begun to grow on me), New World Man... None of those really represents the full scope of Rush music.

I didn't like Rush much either when that was all heard from them. But then I listened to the 2112 album and my tastes were forever changed.

To that I would add the remainder of the 2112 opus and "The Camera Eye" from Moving Pictures.

Xanadu is an awesome song...

Yeah, I just didn't want to use 22 minutes on one song when I've only got an 80 minute CD. Even if it's imaginary. :lol

rush goes hard
ive said it in the club before but they are much better than pink floyd (who I constantly maintain is the most overrated band of all time, overrated means overrated, not bad, not shitty, just overrated) it has started some arguements and then i list bands from around the same time that blow pink floyd away I always list rush, black sabbath, neil young

They've been playing a Rush DVD at Fry's alot up here; I'm getting a new appreciation for "Mystic Rhythms" -- a very interestingly constructed song.

BTW, YYZ is the three letter code for Toronto's airport.
