Everyone is counting us out, and I don't blame them, majority of the fans in this fanbase are desperate and delusional putting all their hopes on Nash and Kobe to somehow magically beat father time and turn back the clock.:lol

Aside from our biggest offender though, in both health and salary cap eating bodies, the Lakers have a pretty solid lineup. Hill, Ed Davis, Boozer are quite decent, especially Hill who was outplaying Gasol last year when healthy. I still haven't given up on Wes Johnson. He's still a fantastic defender and I hope Scott puts him in a position to succeed (Great help defender for the most part) I'm mostly excited about Randle though. He's bound to have an exciting rookie season. Him and Lin are the only reason I'm getting a league pass tbh.

Clarkson is also another exciting prospect, he'll give us flashes of brilliance in short spurts. He's the steal of the draft from what I can see. The kid is for real. And with Nash' health issues, he may very well see plenty of playing time. For Lin, the opportunity to regain his form is wide open. With no expectations going forward, he can finally focus on his game and put up solid numbers across the board. He's expected to start at some point and If he can't earn a starting spot with this Lakers, he should very well retire next season:lol. Nick Young's offense will come handy in nights where Kobe's shots are not falling in, I don't care for him much but we'll see how he handles Scott's demanding style on the defensive end. Wayne Ellington's deadly beyond the arc. Yeah we can use him. And we still have Xavier Henry who's projected to become the second best swingman off the bench.

They don't have Tier A or B talents, and in a conference where teams are stacked with both, the Lakers are realistically doomed even before the season begins. I have them starting strong this season and then gradually start losing in streaks once Nash and Kobe's (even Hill) health deteriorates.

Fwiw, I do believe Nash is traded before the deadline.

Pimpster, sweetheart, it's a hodge podge of ham & eggers + waiver wire materiel. It's junk. It's the roster of an expansion franchise. Just a gaggle of (names) & legends. And that's fine when you're in your 20's or 30's. Even into your 60's I get juicy reading those names, recalling those legends, so I'm at peace.
