Sorry about your cat. I have a couple of cats, but I'm not a cat person either. I was attacked and severely clawed by my friend's cat when I was a real little kid so I pretty much grew up scared of them. But a few years ago my daughter rescued a newborn kitten from the jaws of a fox, nursed to health and it stayed a pet for several years, we grew to love her. Then a couple of years back there was a huge storm and these 2 little kittens were hiding and freezing in our shrubs, so of course in they came and never left. You get used to them, you grow on each other and they are okay. I'd never go out looking to own a cat and I'd certainly never pay money for one :lol

He was getting a 100cc's of vet ringers per day and lived 19 mos longer than the Vet thought he would. Didn't get sick again till the last 2 weeks before he died. Before I left for AFG several months ago I drove up to Baltimore to see family and left him with my Mom who has 3 other cats, so he was a happy dude. I put him down this past August...any pet owner will tell you the saddest feeling is driving home with an empty pet carrier/kennel. It sucks

Yeah, he had blood clots in his kidneys after which they only operated at 70% capacity. From then he developed stomatosis in his mouth which hurt his teeth and gums to the point he stopped eating
