If he wasn't already friends with that guy, then he's fucking stupid to thing smacking another guy across the face with a slice of pizza wouldn't result in a beatdown. That looked incredibly dickish and disrespectful. And if that guy had been bullying him earlier, then the pizza slap is just fucking stupid. Stand up and fight his ass, don't slap him with a pizza and expect him to be calm and happy about it.

yeah...that sealed the deal. he might have been able to convince the guy to laugh it off if he would have stood there like a man. but to turn his back and be smiling and shit...
