So the 16th person is now JaMychal Green then, right? Or was he released earlier? Has he looked good in preseason? I don't have access to Spurs preseason games so I don't know.

He played okay, unfortunately for him, not very spectacular. With 15 players already with guaranteed contracts, it is likely the waiver annoucement will come very soon.

I thought they had an extra roster spot due to Patty's injury.

Duncan, Baynes
Splitter, Diaw, Bonner
Leonard, Daye
Green, Ginobili, Belinelli
Parker, Joseph

Injury Reserve - Mills, Anderson (Rookie), Ayres

Spurs real problem now is which player will be happy to be sitting games. Ayers, Baynes, Daye, Anderson, Joseph all appear to be in top shape and aren't ready to sit!

Davis giving us potential Kawhi schticks was already worth it for a roster spot. Im at a disappoint.

Cotton was complete trash - given a couple of solid opportunities this preseason with Patty out, and TP sitting a game, he completely shit the bed.

Who are the Spurs Jr's other PGs? If Tony twists an ankle we are royally fucked at PG.

How's TJ Ford's back these days?

I am sure he is fine, now, but he is afraid of permanent paralysis. He won't be back, but he was awesome.

I'll be surprised if either has a 50 point season in the NBA.

I think most on here predicted this.

Some said Anderson was going to the Toros, er ..... Spurs.

Will that happen too?

After the last few games, I have:

Duncan, Bonner, Daye,
Splitter, Diaw, Ayres, Baynes,
Leonard, Belinelli, Anderson
Green, Ginobili
Parker, Joseph

He's a better player than Ayres, and probably Baynes too.

Nope. You only have to have 13 players, but 15 is the absolute MAX, injured or not. Consider roster spots 14 and 15 to be the equivalent of the NFL's practice squad and IR list.

JMG is next.

Whatever happened to Vander Blue?

He was one of the most impressive Spur Summer League players.

Same team as last year plus Anderson. Hard to complain about that.

You can dress 13 for a given game now, so it won't be much of an issue. Patty is out and Anderson will spend some quality time in Austin while Pop plays "mad scientist" early in the year with the rotations. I'm pretty sure everyone will get their chances to prove out.

I think Daye will get the nod over Bonner in the beginning of the season to see what he has. Ayres and Baynes will rotate based on who is screwing up the least.

i haven't seen much of pre-season. i'm a little surprised Cotton didn't make it. I always thought Siva would have been a better candidate anyways. But i thought Cotton seemed decent from summer league.

If the spurs cut J Green, instead of Ayers. That's about the same Spursy move as bringing in Cotton instead of Siva.

You need to understand that the Spurs are not cutting a guaranteed contract of almost $2M.
