Cojo doesn't have the size to defend, he plays hard but is extremely inefficient...

:lol Like I said, any dummy taking actual analysis from garbage games is retarded tbh. CoJo will be just fine until Mills gets back tbh.
Cojo failed 3 times in crunch time, vs the Heat in the 4th, vs the Heat in OT, and now vs the Rockets... Can't fail much more than that tbh, his confidence must be sky high...

Well he won't play much in crunchtime unless Parker gets hurt so.........

You must be borderline retarded to blame Cojo for the team struggles. Manu and Duncan looked like pure shit tonight.

Last meaningful game I remember was the first game vs Cleveland in the 2006/07 season were Lebron facialized Tim, and we know how it finished after that...4-0 :lobt2:.

Well, who the hell is interested in preseason?
Spurs look pretty turrible. I think they will come out with a sluggish start. Championship hangover + new target on your back + no towel waving is not a good combination.

Going into the regular season, we sure don't have a very good backup to Parker. Cojo will be eaten alive by most of the competition. He doesn't seem to understand that hero ball isn't part of the Spurs scheme, but I'm hoping he's just trying to get the coaches to notice him in pre-season.

The energy Patty brought off the bench last year is pretty underrated on how much it impacted the spurs I think. Dude was a huge reason why the Spurs bench was the best in the league.

The main problem with Cojo is the fact that he can't hit a fucking open shot. That's hurting him a lot to fit Pop's system.
If he had at least a 3-point shot, he would be at least a poor's man George Hill. Right now, he is a basically a combo guard that gives the team some defensive effort, but offers nothing offensively. That's why we saw him "trying too much" offensively with some hero ball against Houston.
Even though I like him, I don't think there's a place for him in San Antonio in the future if he doesn't develop at least a 3-point shot. Defensive effort alone won't keep him in SA.

Spurs should waive or trade Cojo..... let Manu or Anderson play point.
Cojo just doesn't know how to set up the offense. Also he think he's Tony Parker and holds on the ball too long.
Waive the dude!

Yeah, no.
I won't waive a defensive player when the team has guys like Belinelli, Ayres, Daye, Bonner on it.
You cannot win shit with offense alone.

He was ok. I know D is supposed to be a real strength of his. I just didn't see it on display vs. other guards this preseason. Maybe I didn't do a good job of observing. I still hold out hope, but I expect a PG to QB the offense, shoot, pass, and drive to the hoop. He can do one of those four things (drive). I don't expect my PG to be a defensive weapon, so if you sell me him on his D he better be Bowen 6'2". That he's not. It may be his strongest suit because his others are so weak, but I don't know that he's a great defender. I think it's been overhyped. And I am still getting the overall impression that whatever slight defensive advantages he offers do not make up for his ineptitude on offense. Preseason. Whatever. Maybe he turns it on Tuesday, and looks like a different player. Dribbling out of the hunchback position, looking where he's going and where his teammates are, and everything. The whole package.
