What a bunch of dicks. You know, "Googling" something isn't just as good as an education. Admit that all you did was a key word search when you're talking down to someone trying to correct them.

I admit it...

Hullo....

Sometimes people ask a simple question that 20 seconds of searching on google could answer. However I'm never rude about it.

I almost always check up on stuff I think I know, if I'm debating with someone.

800

(oh I love google)

The correct way to respond to that on the internet is, "800. Come back with a better question when you get a brain and some common sense."

Or something like that. :smokin

How is getting information off the internet any less "educational" than spending hours in the library doing the same thing? You younger ones just have no friggen idea how easy you have it now.

Funny...I had this same conversation with a friend recently that is a trainer/salesperson/consultant for IBM in corporate firewall security...we were talking about being in meetings and using google with one hand while talking to the customer and having the answer the customer wants almost instantaneously and using it in the flow of the conversation without the customer even knowing what we were doing...I do this all the time...

European or African swallow?

Why would I ask her to swallow toothpicks or care how fast? I am just thankful enough if they don't spit.

European or African swallow?European aka "barn" swallow.

Assume that barometric pressure = 1 bar, and that the swallow is at sea level.

In that case, I think the bird is too small to carry said box of toothpicks...

Is the bird using performance-enhancing substances? No. You're confusing the swallow with an Oriole.

CrazyOne

The average airspeed velocity of an unladen European swallow is approximately 11 meters per second, or about 24 miles per hour.

(Just thought I would share my knowledge...)

CrazyOne

With a box of toothpicks... hmm.. figuring the average weight of a toothpick times 800, plus a small amount for the box itself... putting in formulas for wind resistance, humidity and gravity differentials in the northern hemisphere compared to the equator... (and assuming that no performance enhancing drugs were used)... that works out to an approximate speed of ...

Warp 6.3

European aka "barn" swallow.

Assume that barometric pressure = 1 bar, and that the swallow is at sea level.

Of course, the swallow could definitely not be FLYING at sea level, unless the swallow were definitely from Death Valley and was flying definitely higher yeah, KMart Sucks, 400 Oak Street Cincinnati, Ohio...Bob Huggins definitely fired from Cincinnati home of the Bearcats, but not like, the Stutz Bearcats which are definitely cars, but I am an excellent driver, get to drive on Sundays V-E-R-N, Main Man...

Well...if you google a word and it's spelled incorrectly, it will show the correct spelling and ask if you meant that word.

Uh..not that I ever spell anything wrong.
