OKLAHOMA CITY -- Already playing without league MVP Kevin Durant (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3202/kevin-durant), the Thunder (http://espn.go.com/nba/team/_/name/okc/oklahoma-city-thunder) now will likely have to maneuver through the difficult Western Conference without both their stars until at least December.
According to general manager Sam Presti, Russell Westbrook (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3468/russell-westbrook) underwent further evaluation by outside consultants on his fractured right hand Friday and the process will continue Saturday. Westbrook remains without an official timetable as the team weighs the possibility of a procedure to repair his hand.
"At this stage, surgery is a consideration for this particular injury," Presti told ESPN.com. "If there were to be a procedure, we would provide a time frame at that point."

Seems like that would take longer than 4-6 weeks.

They will still have Reggie Jackson though before losing him.

You cannot go as hard and reckless like he does every second on the floor in the nba. It's career suicide, especially playing 44 min a game.

It's the same problem Manu had until pop pulled back his minutes to extend his career.

The team said Westbrook had successful surgery Saturday morning on the second metacarpal in the hand, and he will be re-evaluated in four weeks

I don't know. This can force brooks to develop the bench, okc may not get home court or have a lower seed, but with more rest for Westbrook and Durant, the two can be fresh for the playoffs, the other guys can contribute, it can force some play calling for brooks, may get them over the hump.

they might even not make the post season with durant and westbrook out for like 1.5 months, thats like 30 games

Both out 30 games? Isn't Westbrook expected to be back in 4. He should miss like 15 games.
