(Or is it technically 2013?)

I didn't buy it due to all the negative posts here....

WELL, I finally saw it on ESPN....

WOW. Horrible. Can't even get Leonard's season-saving block on Westbrick????

WTF?

Spurs don't have any oversight on this I guess.....

Massive disappointment.

Well, if you paid attention to the DVD, you would have heard the narrator explain that rather than any actual basketball play being responsible for Spurs beating OKC, they won because they were able to prove they were the superior squad, because they played with passion.

It's an absolute embarrassment, made for the lowest common denominator of basketball fans.

Yep. Disappointing is the best thing I can say about it.

All that beautiful passing.....almost none shown.......

Shit's not even worth pirating. Script was probably written in an afternoon by some random intern.

I just bought it to add to the collection, tbh. YouTube had much higher quality videos. I mean, The Beautiful Game part 1 & 2 put the championship DVD to shame and they were like 8 minutes long. That's pretty embarrassing coming from a multi-billion dollar operation.

I really want to make a video for Youtube that chronicles the path of the Spurs from the 2007 championship until the 2014 championship. Showing the hopes, struggles, and frustrations of each season and playoff bust (from the 2008 Lakers WCF to 1st round loss to Mavs and Grizzlies, to the 2013 championship) with all the haters writing us off and saying we were too old. That would be awesome, I just dont have the time to put it together yet.

Would rather watch beautiful game 1 and 2 than but the championship dvd. Not that I'm a cheapskate. But if ever they sell a dvd copy of bg1 and 2, I'd buy those in a heartbeat

Are you guys serious? There has never been a good championship DVD in the history of the NBA. Why would this year be different?

I disagree, all the Lakers championship DVDs were fantastic

I work in post production. Every DVD and VHS I've ever seen was shit from the NBA starting in the 70s and 80s....

Heck. Even the "Dare you to move" spurs video is better. Not to mention a classic!

The 1999 one was spectacular. As was the Lakers 2000 DVD. The Sixers' video in 83 was awesome too.

I think all previous Spurs DVDs were great compared to this one. I really wish I could get a box set with the complete games on them... Maybe someday.

I thought the 03 and 05 DVDs were really bad. The 07 one was an improvement, but the 99 DVD was really well written, the league paid for a top notch narrator, and they talked a lot about the franchise history.

Since it was our first they definitely made a good effort in 1999....
