I'd think the opposite would be true: offense comes easier on new teams (All Star game, as an example). Defense is more predicated on communication, switching, weak side help, rotations and all that shit. The Clippers fired Del Negro, replaced him with Doc Rivers and I really don't see any huge difference in how they play which surprised me. The problem isn't Blatt, he's a good coach, the problem is they have no dominant low post player. This is where Bosh helped LeBron and complimented him well. They are probably missing 1 piece to compliment LeBron, Love and Irving, but there is probably some chemistry issues for the moment. They are still a legit threat to win the East, despite the early season struggles.
