View Full Version : Cavs: David Blatt getting fired in...

1 game? 2 games? 3 games?

It's not entirely his fault, tbh... but you know he'll be the first to go...

I doubt he'll get fired, Spoelstra didn't..

They'll trade Waiters first, and then move from there..

Blatt is the least of their problems, though IMO..LeCoon is their biggest concern, atm, tbh..

You're like the the Revelations of El Nono, however I think it would damage the team to fire a coach after just a few games with a basically entirely new roster. If they aren't in the hunt by Christmas, there could be issues. Lebron is on a 2 year deal, so someone will create a "get Lebron the fucking ball" poster and that will be that.

Like I said before Reminds me of the Miami Heat when they got together and started out 9-8..........

Miami's offense was flawed all year, though..Spoelstra has said that they didn't practice any offense in year 1, and that he redesigned the entire offensive scheme after Dallas defeated them in the Finals..

The difference is that Miami team was arguably the best defensive team in the league, Lebron was at his defensive peak, and they had many defensive options..it's much easier to play great defense than it is to have a good offense, especially with a newly constructed team..

I'd think the opposite would be true: offense comes easier on new teams (All Star game, as an example). Defense is more predicated on communication, switching, weak side help, rotations and all that shit. Offense, one or two guys can turn up the offense but if they don't communicate on defense and don't know rotations, they will be destroyed.

The Cavs will be fine. It takes time to build chemistry and learn how to play together. They've looked pretty bad at times and are still barely losing these games. They'll still come out of the East** imo.

Half NBA fans would think Ricky Rubio foots that bill (got five first team All-D votes :lol). Not sure if the problem is Kyrie or Love. People fail to realize that (a) 2010 Lebron ~ 2014 Lebron (peaking in 12/13), (b) Bosh > Love even at present and (c) 2010 Wade >> 2014 Irving.

You can't compare this Cavs team to those Heat teams at all. Miami had the better defenders, and much superior big 3. People act like this is the Miami Heat all over again and it's not even close. Sure, they'll get better (and probably become a boss regular season team), but their flaws won't simply go away. They are loaded with shitty defensive players. That is a fatal flaw.

The 2011-12 and especially the 12-13 Heat were much better than these Cavs ever will be.

Blatt won't get fired, they'll pull it together. The Great Satan can will his team to a 1-3 seed. His teammates just have a lot of muscle memory to unlearn and he needs to give a fuck on defense.

It will have to be handled delicately by all parties concerned. It's one thing to drag Sterling out into the street and lynch him in broad daylight. Silver will guide this tact step-by-step, hand-in-hand with LeBron, Media, LeBron, the Cav's organization and LeBron.

The Clippers fired Del Negro, replaced him with Doc Rivers and I really don't see any huge difference in how they play which surprised me. The problem isn't Blatt, he's a good coach, the problem is they have no dominant low post player. This is where Bosh helped LeBron and complimented him well. They are probably missing 1 piece to compliment LeBron, Love and Irving, but there is probably some chemistry issues for the moment. They are still a legit threat to win the East, despite the early season struggles.

tbh they need someone with the stones to tell Lebron to shut the fuck up and stop visibly whining on the court, and to bench Waiters/Irving/Thompson when they play AAUball. Instead they got Woody Allen in the huddle drawing up plays for Varejao. They're probably too far gone to bring in someone like that though, as LBJ is co-GM. They signed a bunch of useless Lebron yes-men (:lmao James Jones) and no reality check vets.

Lebron is building his wealth, nothing more nothing less. He's off the HGH to guard his health and he knows Kobe will be gone soon and he'll be the only real show in town. He's got a new contract coming up in less than 2 years and he'll be going somewhere like LA to maximize his earning potential on and off the court.

He played in the shadow of Wade, didn't seem to bother him. He doesn't give a shit about those who came before him, just how much money he's getting. With Kobe retired, Lebron would be a billionaire in LA in just a few years.

Apparently James was pushing for the zionist pig to be fired, and the organization considered it:

In the process, Cavs ownership showed more backbone and courage than expected. The punchline for months around the NBA was that LeBron was running the entire organization. And indeed, the Cavs have put some of his buddies on the payroll again like Randy Mims and Damon Jones. But on the most important matter, on the fate of Blatt, the organization pushed back. The Cavs understand they’ve already fired two coaches in the last 21 months. Adding a third to the list would be a crushing blow to any semblance of stability.

Regardless of what they say now, the idea of parting ways with Blatt was absolutely discussed internally. But the organization dug in its heels and refused to cave to James.
