View Full Version : Why did Pop bring Enrique back in the game on the last possession?

Spurs went on a massive run without him, then took the lead, all without him on the floor..

Pop decided to bring him back on the final possession, and it resulted in an ugly attempt from Leonard that was easily read by the Pelicans..

Cause Cojo is even worse... Choked with that failed spin... Like he choked every time in crunch time in preseason...

Because Cojo penetrating with the game on the line is pretty fucking obvious that's he's dishing out... You're pretty bad at trolling lol

Didn't have to be Cojo..could have let Manu handle the ball and left Green in after Danny had just given the Spurs their first lead in a long time..

Pop experimenting, IMO...

TP hasn't been a reliable closer in quite some time. Manu was our clutch guy in the playoffs last year. Should have went with him.

I honestly don't know if Parker's style of play fits on this team.

When this team is at it's best, we don't play Kobe/Parker type of heroball. His passing ability reminds me of Kobe 2004 onwards. He just seems like such an unnatural passer.

I have a feeling Pop is giving Enrique all the minutes/touches he can handle until the real PG of the team returns in January/February, tbh..

It's because this is the time for Pop to see what he has... these aren't important games in the big scheme of things, he'll use them to try different things... Non-Issue

I think when we went on the huge run, Tim and Manu weren't playing also..

I'd normally agree (lol November) but the West is ungodly strong this year. 50 wins min to punch your ticket to the post season. The Spurs will likely be 2-5 by this time next week, and we'll be sitting here sweating a close game with the shitty Lakers, which will no doubt happen (per par their Gutless Worm play as of late).

No time to experiment right now (be different if we were 5-1).

:lol the "real PG" being a midget chucker who lets Manu run the offense...

Barring a severe injury to Tim, Manu or Tony, the Spurs will make the playoffs. I mean, Pop has barely started coaching them right now, he was about to throw away this game.

Not worried by teams peaking in November, tbh... it's a long season.

How about some experimenting with Daye. on the bench instead? After belineli and his putrid defense and overrated offense gets back, Anderson will never get a chance. He'll go back to getting over himself ... In hell.

Pretty obvious Anderson is undergoing the Bonner/Oberto/Splitter treatment. He's not part of the rotation right now unless Pop is resting players.

Bonner rode the end of the bench pretty much all of his first season. He did get a ring for it tho, hopefully same applies to Anderson.

Because he REALLY wanted to just bring in Manu, but he didn't want to hurt Tony's feelings.
