How could they choose Hawks/Knicks over that game?
NBATV is stupid. A great chance to market the future of the league versus the present.

I hope Spurs actually come to play.
I was trying to buy in to Clips but again they just seem like they are not ready for prime-time (playoffs).

A win is just a regular season win ...but if they could smash spurs it would restore some confidence (for me)

Seriously? A November regular-season win over the Spurs means pretty much nothing in the grand scheme of things. Regardless, I fully expect Choke Paul to dribble shit down his legs at the sight of those black and silver uniforms like he almost always does.

Also, God (aka Kawhi) will dominate despite his eye troubles... unless a certain French faggot decides he wants to be the hero per par and refuses to pass him the ball. :hat

Yo a memo to CN

You don't win titles in November but you can sure kick Ass and make statements. In 2008 Celts iirc swept both SpSpur games in 2009 or 2010 Lakers swept the Celts. If you can't get up for a home game versus the champs then you ain't a legit contender.
It may not mean shit to the 5x championship Spurs but for a never done shit Clip team it should mean something and I expect the Clips especially Paul and Blake to act like it. Spurs have what you want niccas need to show me something ...

Maybe cuz I grew up in the Lakers Celts rivalry these kind of games always meant something ...even if Pop doesn't give a shit, lol

I don't know. Davis has to stay healthy all year and continue on the trajectory he's on. Their bench is really weak outside of Ryan Anderson, but if he has a bad game, it seems like it will be tough for them to score. Then their guards have some fit issues and health issues. Talent wise, they are there with AD taking the next step, but health/fit/depth wise I'm not sure. Wouldn't be shocked with OKC falling out of the race possibly, but that would mean all 5 teams from the Spurs division would make it :wow

Pelican's are fortunate that players like Gordon/Evans are still valued in today's NBA. They have the pieces to make a trade. There will be teams in need of "talented guards" and they could easily screw someone over if they get players that fit a system.

Only issue is their coach will probably throw a fit because he loves the fit :lol

They're going to be unstoppable on offense when Love and Irving are "on", but ya, we've already seen what they look like otherwise..

Relying on Irving isolation isn't a consistently reliable way to win..

Sure, but as Love/Irving hopefully learn not to ball-stop so much, they should be damn good consistently on offense. Let Lebron create and keep moving the ball/working to get to spots. Then, on the few times things break down, use your ability to get your own shots Kyrie/Waiters..

Evans as a 6th man is fine, he's a good passer, and his antiquated style of play is fine as a 6th man(iso after iso with a pick&roll thrown in)..he can't start for an NBA team in 2014, though, his style of play doesn't fit in a shooting and passing league..

Sure, but he won't commit to being a 6th man IMO. But maybe if they had a better starter he would. Having Tyreke/Ryan should help bolster the bench. If they can flip Gordon for that 3D player that would be perfect.

I wouldn't mind seeing Anderson in the starting lineup instead of Evans. Sure he's soft but he's tall and teams have to respect his outside shot which opens up the paint even more.

Shumpert might not even be a 3 and D guy but he would get out of the way and can knock down the triple. I keep throwing these guys on trades 'cause I think Phill Jackson might be dumb/desperate enough to trade them for a "talented shot creator" that gives them a chance to make the playoffs.

Well, for one, Denver needs guards badly and have a logjam. Two, the money isn't really relevant since the money going out is about equal in total dollars and length of time (which is short-term).

Many people wanted Gordon when he was a FA and I am pretty sure, despite the numbers on a team with its own logjam, people still think that Gordon has talent in the right situation. Not to mention, despite his injuries/flaws, Gordon is probably still regarded as the most talented player in that deal (Afflalo is nothing special).

Afflalo and Gordon play the same position: wing. Afflalo is performing better (although not that much better, tbh) and is paid half to make the trade work you throw another rotation guy like Hickson, I really don't see why Denver would make that trade. Actually I don't see why NO would make that trade either, neither Afflalo nor Hickson are what they need.

Afflalo and Gordon are very different players.

They play the same position and they are sucking about the same.

Position doesn't matter. It's skill set. Afflalo is more of a spot up/off the ball shooter from 3 that is better on defense. Gordon really absoultely has to have the ball in his hands to be effective and DEN needs ball handlers/slasher.

I dunno, other than TJ Ford who was the last Spurs backup PG who's role it was to run the second team offense? That's always been Manu territory. Patty fit the second unit perfectly and he was a black hole.

That being said, his decision making is still much quicker than last year--even if it's led to him taking more shot attempts for himself. He's playing 4 more minutes a game this year but is taking almost twice as many shots. He's at least having an impact on the game at times whereas in previous years I felt like he was just another body out there. He didn't really do much.

Pretty much went as expected. This group of losers needs a big trade or something to wake them up... something has to change.

Also, Woodson needs to go. Last five minutes of the game, his offense couldn't make a single basket. Too much overdribbling, too many horrible shots, too much iso crap (moreso in other games this year) - basically the same shit that got him fired in NY and Atlanta.

Horford and Millsap look really bad this year, Atlanta should be looking to split them up, somebody will easily give up an asset for either of them IMO..

I'm late on the party but not sure what happened to Horford, I used to like him a lot. Dude is skilled, he would flourish in a Spurs system team... great passer for a big

been said on the game thread upstairs, but it bears repeating... Clippers announcers are top-notch, tbh

Mike Smith is fucking awful and should not be allowed anywhere near an NBA broadcast, nobody likes that homer. Ralph is a legend, though. People hate on him, but he sat through decades of shit basketball and is almost senile now, let the man have some fun.

Wouldn't mind shipping Choke Paul and DJ to Atlanta for Horford, Teague, and Carroll, tbh.

Better than Lakers or Spurs ...definitely entertaining. But if that is top notch then we have some seriously mediocre broadcast teams. dont get me wrong I love Lawler and the other guy is solid but in the golden age he was 4th behind Vin Scully, Jon Miller and Chick (with both Keith and Stu) of course the best in the biz.

Lawler is really good. And if it wasnt for Miller or Vin he would be aces ... he really is my favorite b-ball guy all time right after Chick.

L.A. has been blessed. Lakers have a shitty team now. Stu was running on fumes even before Chick passed. If it wasnt for nostalgia I would barely be able to tolerate Stu Lantz at this point ... his noiiiiiice call is beyond annoying. I will say this they have kept the tradition of not being blatant homers.

Spurs and Sixers. Time for Daye to make about 5 threes and have everyone upstairs jump on his bandwagon again.

Houston currently getting exposed by Memphis.

Well, okay, that's premature. I think the Griz win the game, but the Rockets are a good team. Just not as good as they seem given their record.

The Spurs literally withdrew $1,000,000 from the bank, put it in a barrel, and lit it on fire the day his contract became guaranteed. If they had kept De Colo, he would've been gone as his contract was expiring.
