... Denver expects Latrell Sprewell to sign with the Nuggets and join his friend and former teammate Marcus Camby.

I can see this being that Camby and him have history together. If he's starting, who's place would he be taking?

If he's starting, who's place would he be taking? Voshon Lenard. He was injured last year, and this year he might ride the pine. Demarr Johnson and Greg Buckner both started last year in place of Voshon, but neither of them is starting material.

With the decline in Spree's actual skills, I think this Denver team might implode. Miller, Anthony, 3-23, and Camby are an explosive combination regarding egos (Camby may be the exception). If you add Spree to the mix, I don't know if George Karl will be able to handle them. If he does, and they all buy into his system, they might be a dangerous team.

He probaly take that vacant SG startin spot thats still open.

Be a really good pair imo, expecially what they did when both back in NY. Spree played of is nuttz in that finals series in 99, and at the end he got the boot instead of houston who didnt play up to his potential.

i think it a great idea. really it doesn't matter where he ends up. he is not the player anyone really needs to worry about anymore. let's just hope he doesn't take it because it kids can't breath.

Latrell Sprewell gets spinning rims installed in his face

Latrell Sprewell took a bold step in re-affirming his street cred yesterday by getting spinning rims installed in his face. The Timberwolves guard had two-inch diameter rims put in each cheek.

“I have phat rims on all 12 of my Escalades, and then I was the first one to get spinning rims on a pair of shoes,” said Sprewell. “So this is just the next step for me in living the thug lifestyle, you feel me, motherf—ker?”

Sprewell said he has wanted to get spinning rims installed in his face for more than a year but that it took him a while to find a surgeon who would agree to the procedure.
“I guess there are certain hygiene and leakage issues to having rims in your cheeks,” said Sprewell. “But just ‘cause I’ll have trouble keeping food in my mouth for the rest of my life doesn’t make this things any less cool. Look at them spinning, b-tch.”

Sprewell said his next step is to get a spinning rim put in his forehead, and then he hopes to find a pair of spinning rim contact lenses.

Latrell Sprewell

Latrell Fontaine Sprewell (born September 8, 1970 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is an American professional basketball player. A guard-forward, he currently plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Sprewell entered the league in 1992 out of the University of Alabama. He was drafted 24th overall in the first round by the Golden State Warriors. Sprewell made an immediate impact, starting 69 of the 77 games he played in during his rookie season and scoring 15.4 ppg.

Though a four-time All-Star, Sprewell's career has been permanently overshadowed by an incident on December 1, 1997, when he attacked Coach P.J. Carlesimo during a Warriors practice. When Carlesimo yelled at Sprewell to make crisper passes, Sprewell responded that he wasn't in the mood for criticism and told the coach to keep his distance. When Carlesimo approached, Sprewell threatened to kill him and dragged him to the ground by his throat, choking him for 10-15 seconds before his teammates pulled Sprewell off his coach. Sprewell returned about 20 minutes later and landed a glancing blow at Carlesimo before being dragged away again.

Sprewell was suspended for 10 days without pay. The next day, in the wake of a public uproar, the Warriors voided the remainder of his contract, which included $23.7 million over three years, and the NBA expelled him from the league. Sprewell took the case to arbitration, and, as a result, the contract voiding was overturned and the league suspension was reduced to the remainder of the season. Sprewell did not play again until January, 1999, after the Warriors traded him to the New York Knicks for John Starks, Chris Mills and Terry Cummings.

On October 31, 2004, Sprewell declared, "I've got my family to feed," and requested a contract extension from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The request was not granted, and Sprewell fulfilled the terms of his then-current contract during the 2004-2005 NBA season.

Over the course of his career, Sprewell has started 868 of 913 games he has played in, averaging 18.8 ppg, 4.2 apg and 4.1 rpg. He also was a pioneer of the spinning rim.

Sprewell was featured on the cover of the September 1999 issue of SLAM magazine

I doubt Denver will give him anything close to the 7-yr, 21-mil offer the T-Pups offered. If he was wondering how he'd be able to "feed his family" off that salary, let's see how he manages to "make ends meet" off less.
