You have to be careful with them though. They appear to be rugged but avoid the Glen, it's a piece of shit.

You're telling me... I think there's just something inherently wrong with the wiring in those things. You want them to mix, they knead. You need them to knead, they mix... And the noise... they never shut up.

I read that was a false report, that it didn't actually "melt" per se, but that the manufacturer was trying to drum up some interest in the model by recalling parts that didn't really exist.

Every time My Glen model Hobart acts up, I take it to get repaired... Guess what? There's nothing wrong with it. Then I get it back to the kitchen and it starts up again with the same shit. It's almost like it's lying... it is old though... it's an old liar.

I eventually pulled the rear plug on it and took it to the shed, punched it's box a few times and left it out there.
