Overdosed on coke and vicodin. We grew up together, were very good friends, and then when I became a doctor he got super competitive with me because he came from a super rich family and had it easy. We hadn't talked in years.

No, he was in good shape. Dude was a good kid up until 22, his family got super rich instead of just well off and he fell into the party life way too much. He was making a lot of money off his business and we have always kind of been 'at it' with one another. Im kinda dissapointed in making this thread since this is a true story, but whateva, didn't like the competitive BS attitude the last few years. Life is short man..no reason to get competitive with family over $

we didnt find out 3 days later cause he was on the machine in the hospital, his family didnt know about it till my family phone around asking if anyone receive the news about it, hence even the former wife didnt know about it....

I assumed it was just a made up story by besteva so he could casually toss out another reference to his being a doctor, which I don't buy. I think sook is the only legit Dr in the NBA forum. I think he's Asian and stuff so it makes sense.

eh... if they make it out to be like you never have spare time, they're wrong. i usually need about 3 hours a day after classes to get everything taken care of. the thing is you can't take days off though. in undergrad, regardless of major, you can literally choose to do nothing for a week at a time and then get caught up. not so much the case here

That take a week off shit wouldn't fly in engineering either imo. I mean you might be able to memorize steps but as far as understanding what is actually going on I don't think so. Interesting though I always thought law school was tougher. Good luck, make Armenia proud tbh.

its also the case that 1st semester doesn't have that heavy a workload. i only have 3 bar courses and the 4th is legal research/writing which is just 2 units. in future semesters i'd have 4-5 major courses at a time or so

nowadays there aren't that many areas where you can get a bachelors and get straight to a good starting job. engineering is one of them, although of course people go for masters in that too
