Mack Brown hasn't beaten Stoops in five tries and he's pulling this type of stuff. Color me, not impressed.

...put that together with Young making the cover of SI and I'm feeling a less than glorious season for Texas fans. Perhaps 2 or 3 losses and a second tier bowl appearance.

In (partially) Mack's defense, he said on Austin radio that he didn't approve of the headline on the magazine and also, it'd be TM's decision on editorial content, not the subject.

Against Mack, he DID take that picture.

A good read, but nothing I didn't already know about Brown. I just wish he would fire Greg Davis instead of acting like his security blanket.

I like the cover, and whether Mack said it or not, it's about fucking time SOMEONE from Texas showed some kind of nut sack about the ou game. Yes, I realize we've lost to them 5 times in a row, so what? You've gotten your ass handed to you in a critical game five years running, why not say something positive going into this season. We've done the whole "we don't think about the Texas/ou game until it's time to play those guys" routine, I'm sick of it. Go ahead and step up to the damn plate and make the statment, 'we're going to kick the ever loving shit out of ou!' Doesn't bother me one bit and it should have been said long ago. I don't think ou will lose any sleep over the comment, but the confidence to play and beat ou has to start at the top with Mack and then filter down to the rest of the team. The losing streak ends this year.

Mack was promised a cover with Vince Young. He never expected it to come across like that. Thats bulliten board material. You aren't "nutting up" when you say stuff like that. You don't talk like that you've been dominated.

OPINION: (for what it is worth)
1) Ags win The BIG XII South (yep...they steal the spotlight from OU & TU)
2) Huskers win the BIG XII North
3) Reggie McNeal, NOT VINCE YOUNG, goes to NYC for the Heisman ceremony

Ags win Big XII Championship in Reliant Stadium vs NU (and no, I do not pick the Huskers because I am a myopic alum) We have TTU in LINCOLN; OU in LINCOLN...both possible wins and they are in the Big XII South anyway. Only North Threat is CU Buffs. Besides, someone has to win the North!

Watch for Zac Taylor (QB), the newest installment of the West Coast O in Lincoln. Dude is the bomb! HE will turn some heads and, dare I say, the names Crouch, Frazier, Frost, Berringer and Tagge will be mentioned in the same sentences with Zac Taylor in the near future.

I can hardly wait until 11/11/2006! I am stuck here with my Aggie wife (no biggie, I love HER) in College Station. Our men of corn will be here next year and I am counting the days!

Judson could win the big12 north
the aggies will have too many loses for mcneal to a legit canidate
if vince is healthy he'll be in NY, which by the way doesnt mean shit
mcneal can do it
i just dont think his team is strong enough

Hey, I agree, Judson might could win the north...Although Schertz-Clemens might give them a run! No, really...Someone has to win the North. It will be wide open and that is the new NU style. Don't forget; there is still a Big XII championship game and Callahan will be looking to prove he can coach one team for ONE game, regardless of record. NU could be the San Diego Padres of the NCAA! (Losing team in a BCS Bowl Game). Still $$ for us Alums no matter what!

I am serious when I say watch out for A&M in the South. They are lurking there and OU and TU are distracted by other big games...

nebraska did land that number 1 tailback

a&m is the trendy sleeper pick again
same as they were last year

Yes, And NU landed CB Titus Brothers and he is a Redshirt Frosh this year from.....CONVERSE JUDSON! So you might be right, Judson wins the North (at some lowly level)

agreed but you don't cower either. You show respect for your opponents, you don't fear them.

1) Yes
2) I prefer to forget
3) I was born in 1964 and graduated from NU. The last LOSING season was 1961...Three yrs before I was born and the yr my Mom Graduated from HS. OUCH!

I look forward to the big future for the Huskers. It will take 5 more years so we have the recruits for the West Coast Style O. Our number One QB, Joe Dailey, was beat out and actually transferred to UNC this year because he was recruited under the old style Offense from which Frank Solich was the coach, the O-Coordinator under Osborne, Osborne was the Assistant under Bob Devaney when Bob was Head coach and...oh...Solich was a fullback under Devaney/Osborne...talk about in-breeding! I still think that Frank should have never been fired. He is coaching at Ohio U now (not the OSU 4UCKEYES, the OU Bobcats).

If you want to talk National Titles....each team has 3.

Texas: 1941, 1963, 1965
Nebraska 1970, 1994-95

:)

but...that is all irrelevant. What happened in the past means absolutely nada come Sept. 1 when the season starts.

Wherever Nebraska plays home games should be renamed DKR North. We've owned Nebraska on that field lately. I also think that once Callahan gets a little bit of success with NU, he will bolt back to the NFL imo.

Okla 3 Texas 55

I wish. I think it will be a dogfight like last year, only with a little more scoring. The score won't be 6-0 deep into the fourth quarter.
