Talk about a career altering move.

After promising LeBron the future was his, Duncan somehow willed his team in the twilight of his career to beat prime LeBron and send him back to Cleveland.

Duncan may have killed off LeBron's only chance to three-peat and almost certainly killed off LeBron's chance to match/exceed Jordan. LeBron would have been in a great spot with four MVP's, three final MVP's and a three-peat in his pocket before turning 30, and no baseball break in sight.

Did Duncan also kill off LeBron's chance of being a top-5 all time player? We are seeing obvious declines in LeBron's physical and mental condition. Unless he can get it together quickly in Cleveland, Durant may be going to Washington to team up with Wall and enjoy the easy path to the finals. Prime Durant vs past prime LeBron may end LeBron's chance to get to the finals.

Are we going to act like this wasn't LeBron's league for the past few years...?

It was his since 09 until now.

Yup. And even if you're one of those "He wasn't winning titles so it wasn't his league!" guys, it was his league in 2012 and 2013. He was far and away the best player in the league...not even the biggest LeBron haters would've argued that. He won back-to-back MVPs and back-to-back FMVPs.

Its definately is his league, but you told someone back in 2007 that the Spurs would win another title in 2014, no one would have believed you. I thought 2010 would have been a stretch, but 2014? holy crap.

Its still hard to believe these guys won it at the end.

I disagree it's his league.

Jordan owned the league for 6 years. Shaq for 3 years. Duncan for a couple.

LeRoid did co-own the league for 2 years. but that has been relinquished.

Are we going to act like this wasn't LeBron's eastern conference for the past few years...?

Fixed. And had it not been for the Celtics, would have been since 2007. Kobe's won as many titles as he has over that period.

Yes, he's been the best player over that period but Duncan has guaranteed that Lebron will always top out as the best player since MJ.

One of my favorite moment of the last years Finals was Duncan hitting the turnaround shot over Lebron in Game 5. Reminded me of this video and that it had been 7 years since he told Lebron that at the age of 31.

4 times league MVP in a row, 4 times NBA finals appearances in a row, back to back Finals MVP.

Didn't all.those honors mean Lebron's league? hey dude this has been Lebron's league since 2009 even though the spurs captured the title.last season.
